*In young Sheldon season 1, when the Cooper's first meet Tam, George Sr. tells Tam that he spent some time in Vietnam while in the arm-presumably during the war (started when George Sr. was roughly between 11/12 years old depending on when in June 1944 he was born: November 1, 1955 & ended April 30, 1975 when he was somewhere roughly around 31/32 years old (I'm bad with estimating dates ok) as well as a month after Georgie was born) for which he either signed up for at some point when or after he turned 17 in 1960/61 or was drafted during the span of the draft in 1964-1973 (a drafted soldier (from what found on Google-so please don't quote me) must serve a turn of 12 months (1 yr) before returning home) in said episode 2, after revealing to Tam that he was (more or less) in the army during Vietnam war, he asks Tam if his mother's name was Kim Li (Lee?), implying that depending when he met Mary & how long they've been together, he may have cheated on her while they were dating, had an affair while away during their early years of marriage or he slept with said woman before meeting Mary.*
*Mary was born January 13, 1950, making her & George Sr roughly 6 years apart & her 5 years old when the war started; she was 25 when she had Georgie & the war ended in 1975 & if I did my math right from all my Googling & rewatching young Sheldon as well as rereading all my notes (but it doesn't really matter if I did-cause it's a fanfic) then her & George would've more or less had a rushed wedding when she was 5 months along with Jr.*
*according to a website I found, Georgie was conceived some point in June of 1974 depending & for the purpose of finishing this book, as well for the next book-I'm gonna pretend he was born on March 17, 1975 which would make him conceived between the 20th & 28th of June 1974. If Young Sheldon should one day reveal they day he was actually born, then I will fix it in the next book.*

Setting: July 4, 1974 (Independence Day); Tucker family-Holiday barbecue...

Mary Tucker has been dating George Cooper for about a year now & he had just return from serving his one year tour in Vietnam last month-having been drafted the year prior. They had been spending almost every waking as well as sleeping moments together the could, he'd take her out for rides on his motorcycle & she'd sneak out to be with him. They'd be living it up together when she wasn't 'practically raising her siblings' as she would complain it to him & he'd do just about everything he could to see her & get away from his house filled with his parents fighting. The two couldn't be more happier than when they are with each other-even if it did start out just a means to rebel against her parents, she found that he grew on her without realizing it & vis-à-vis. But she woke with something bugging her a few days ago upon realizing her Aunt Flo hadn't come yet.

She took a test at a gas station bathroom a day ago-lying to her George that she needed to use the bathroom while he got the cigarettes, she had stolen the test & went while he paid & waited for her. Once she got her results, she didn't bother looking at the stick; she put it back in the box, paid for the kit & left-telling George that it was a treat for her siblings. Once he got her home & they parted ways, she had ignored his brother & sister while hurrying to the bathroom; she immediately locked the door & observed the test. To her dread, the results was exactly what she had feared they'd be & now she'd have to living with the result of wild & carefree misstep; she still had to decide if she was going to tell George or use her fake I. D. to get an abortion before her parents find out. Her feelings are conflicted, wracked with fear, unease, & guilt as she tries to decide between taking responsibility or running from it & questioned it George would even stick around if she did tell him.

Mary now currently sits held up on her bed, in her room that she shares with her younger sister Charlene; she sits just staring at the test, she's only twenty four going on twenty five-she is nowhere near ready to be a mom. He thoughts are disrupted by the entrance of her younger siblings & she scrambles to hide the test...
