My Love; My Life: Slipping Through My Fingers

Agent: E (Or: Flashback-ish Chapter II)

*Agent E above: age 23*
Setting: unknown location; a cell room with a girl in it, 2048-alarms loudly going off...

"Uh!" Agent E becomes alert upon her abrupt awakening from the loud alarms going off

"Come on!" A young man shouts as he enters her room out of nowhere

"C?"

"We have to get outta here E," he tells her as he grabs his hand

"What's going on?!" She asks as he pulls her along

"Base has been takin over from the inside," he tells her, "all who can are getting out of here cause at least half the agents have been turned to stone."

"What?"

"I didn't believe it at first either-till I check the video footage," he explains to her, "agents F n H were making a break for it and a giant snake like being showed up out of nowheres turning agents that looked at it to stone, as if protecting them."

"Medusa..."

"What?"

"Greek mythology-medusa: snakes for hair and you look directly at her, you turn to stone," she explains to him, "where's the surviving agents meeting up?"

"Guess."

"Another unknown location."

"Exactly."

Agent E's thoughts go back to her earliest memories of her & her brother's life-memories her brother has never shown any signs of recalling, ones from before they ever came to where they are now. She recalls crawling around wood floors, the sound of singing & dancing, & her parents smile; those are her earliest memories, which are followed by the spent with her grand uncle. During the years her & her brother spent with their grand uncle, she often listened to him go on & on about educational things as well as stories of her mother-whom she saw the younger version of from time to time. Unlike her twin brother-agent C, she was quick to learn from her brother's mistake & avoid getting her memories wiped, she was quick to become compliant with what she was told...

"Agent C, Agent E," they're greeted by an upper upon reaching the new meeting point, "good to see you made it out."

"You as well," C replies while E just nods her head

"We lost over half our agents," they tell them, "we need to go into the past and prevent this from happening."

"How do we do that?"

"Agent H left the blueprints to the original model that she drew on the work bench," they tell them as they all walk to & enter a new work room, "we have photographs of said blueprints and all the materials you need to build it," they explain as show the two to the bench, "and you need to finished ASAP."

"Who does?" C & E ask at the same time

"Both of you or one of you-doesn't matter."

"..."

"Agent E is the one using it for her next mission."

"Uh!" She panics

"But we're partners," c starts to argue, "we usually do missions together."

"That's quite enough agent C," they tell him, "the last of the higher ups have decided that this mission will determine whether or not she's useful as a field agent or not," they tell them, "and if she fails her mission, you two will be split up and she will be put on office work."

"WHAT?!" C says at the same time that E says, "NO!"

"Don't do that," they tell the two, "it's creepy."
