Setting: Bay returning to the neitherworld, caseworkers waiting office...

"NEXT!" Ms. Argentina from her spot at the reception window

"Excuse," Bay says cutting in front, "sorry," she adds in, "it'll only take a moment-I swear."

"What can I do for you lady death?" Argentina asks as she types away on her computer, "we are very busy."

"I know, I know," Bay says quickly, "and I know how swamped Juno is," she adds in, "but I need ta talk ta Juno-urgently bout er grandson-"

"..." Argentina stops typing suddenly and looks at her with a serious glare

"Well?" Bay snaps impatiently

"..." Argentina picks up the desk phone by her and presses a button, "sorry to disturb you," she says into the phone, "but lady death is here to speak with you, she says it's about...and that it's urgent..."

"What's so urgent about Beetlejuice that you need time out of my already swamped caseload?" Juno asks annoyed as she appears

"..." Bay says nothing as she eyes the room of spectators

"Come along," Juno tells her as they disappear to her office, "now tell me what's so important," she adds in as she starts a cigarette, "and it better be good."

"If I may start by askin," Bay starts, "why was the Deetz girl's memories of BJ constantly erased-after she was twelve, then again at sixteen, and every time he 'escaped' to see her?"

"..." Juno eyes her for a moment as she lets out her breath of smoke, "when a child see a ghost," Juno starts, "the ghost is considered an imaginary friend when spoken about to adults," she explains, "the cut off for them being able to see 'imaginary friends' is usually thirteen," she goes on, "but with often both of the Deetz girls' talked about BJ, they're parents grew concerned and thought it best to make them forget," she tells Bay, "the youngest Deetz girl eventually grew to thirteen and stoped seeing 'imaginary friends,' and because of these reasons, him showing up years later of course threw them all into shock," she further explains, "so all their memories had to be wiped again for their own sanity-with the acceptation of the maitlands since those two, by no means mean't them any harm-or broke any of our laws," she goes on, "as for the last three time," she says with a sigh, "well, hypnosis by the dead only works on the living so many time before they're immune to it...why do you ask?"

"I gotta nother question first," Bay tells her, "is it at all possible fer the livin and the dead ta-ya know-um...consummate with each other?"

"..." Juno looks at her darkly then to the ashtray on her desk as she puts her cigarette out, "what you're asking-and implying-Mrs. Kripke," she continues as she leans forward on her desk, hands folded and chin resting on top her locked fingers, "is technically possible," she admits, "but also-as far as living and dead are concerned: impossible & immoral- the living is concerned: impossible & unorthodox-and the dead is concerned: immoral & illegal," she says straightforward, "it's only occurred once since the neitherworld came into existence and has been illegal since then-"

"Why?" Bay asks curiously

"Because the child wasn't born living nor dead," she tells her, "it was born undead."
