Sheldon's Hyla 2.0 + Boy (Or: Flashback-ish Chapter I)

*Elenita Imelda & Hector Elvis Casiano; The name/term 'Elenita' I got from Disney's 'Elena of Avalor,' the term means 'bright or shining light,' I got the names 'Hector & Imelda' from Disney's 'Coco,' & I chose the name 'Elvis' not because I like his music- it actually that big of a fan-but because it's the closest variation to Elvira I know.*

Setting: Pasadena, California-2026; Sheldon's new apartment (Elenita & Hector are now 2 years old)...

"Let's see now," Sheldon says to himself as he prepares lunch for the little ones watching a movie on Disney+

Knock, knock, knock

"Doors open!" He calls, "but I'm cooking so come back later!"

"Sheldon," comes Amy's voice, "this is getting ridiculous-"

"I hardly find preparing to feed my nieces kids ridiculous Amy."

"I mean the situation you put us in is ridiculous Sheldon," she states, "the kids keep asking me "where's dad? When's he coming home" meanwhile, you're over hear playing single father with kids that aren't even ours or our responsibility!"

"I hardly think shouting is necessary Amy," he tells her as he sets the table with children's plastic plates & silverware, "Ellie, Hector, lunch."

"Sheldon you're not listening to me," she snaps as the two year olds coming running to the table

"I am listening," he states to her as he helps them into their height hairs, "I just don't agree with you and have nothing to say about it."

"Sheldon," Amy exclaims, "they're not our responsibility-they're not your responsibility," she repeats herself, "either you choose to come home and be with your actual family or I'll make the choice for you."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"I'll call C. P. S," she tells him

"!" Panic comes over Sheldon's face

"You're not equipped to to take care of a kid by yourself-let alone two," she tells him, "there's time you yourself act like a child, do you really think you can take care of them?!"

"I've been doing fine so far," he tells her simply

"You have to meet certain qualifications to even adopt a child," she tells him

"I know," he tells her, "I looked into it," he goes on, "I'm over twenty one, I'm financially stable, they already check out the apartment, did my: criminal background and child abuse check, told them about my background and lifestyle as well as provided proper references and gave them proof of our marriage," he finishes, "but explained the situation."

"And you're telling me that they agreed to letting you adopt them?"

"After looking at my various degrees and our Nobel prize," he tells her, "they agreed to a trail bases in which they would check in us at random from time to time," he adds in, "if I manage to pass each of the six random check ins, then they're with me permanently."

"Sheldon, this is ridiculous," she sighs out, "come home-please."

"Muh!" A voice comes from the table & a boys voice follows, "GO WAY MEAN WADY!"

"Now Hector we do not throw our food or yell and call names," Sheldon scolds him

Ellie & Amy just look at each other, unseen jealousy & hatred grows in Amy's eyes as she looks at the girl, the same emotions she harbors towards her own daughter. While unseen anger & fear stir in Ellie & visible anger is shown growing in Hector...
