Take Your Time

About a month ago Beca Mitchell met the popular Chloe Beale at a party. After being dared by her best friend Stacie to befriend the beautiful redhead she began to develop feelings.

Beca and chloe began to talk right after chloe broke up with her long term boyfriend Tom Eilson, so she wasn't looking for someone new.

The two became decent friends but never spoke that much outside of texting and parties. Beca ended up writing a song for the redhead, putting all her thoughts she gets when she sees her in it.

Now today she was asked to sing at this party since she recently got signed to a label for after high school.

"Hey what's up everyone." Beca smiled.

"This songs called take your time and it's pretty new so let me know what you think." She smirked.

Chloes Jaw dropped when the brunette began. These moments sound all too familiar to her.

Beca smirks a bit at that line. She remembered one party where she was talking to chloe and some random dude came up and began flirting with her. Chloe was super uncomfortable so when he tried to grab her ass Beca punched him, straight in the jaw.

Cuz she's supposed to save you from random girls

Chloe chuckled slightly because she remembers the first time she talked to Beca Aubrey came in and tried to save her from the conversation. After chloe told her it was okay the girls laughed.

It's the same old song and dance but I think you know it well

Beca finished with a smile and thanked the crowd like she always did. She then left the stage and headed over to get a new drink.

Chloe excused herself from her friends and set herself on a mission to talk to the small brunette.

She found her by the drinks and grabbed her by the wrist, not giving her time to realize what's happening, and took her to a secluded area in the house.

She pulled Beca into an empty room and locked the door before spinning around to face the brunette. Beca looked insanely confused but was trying to play it off cool.

"Care to explain what that song was all about?" Chloe asked crossing her arms.

"Uh-uh-it was-um" Beca began stumbling over her words and chloe was trying her hardest not to break a smile.

"It was-It was about Samantha. I recently met her at a party and hit it off. I really like that girl." Beca said cringing slightly at her own lie.

Chloe raised an amused eyebrow, "Really?" She asked and Beca nodded. "Funny because Samanthas been single for four years and in your song you said ain't looking for anything right now implying the end of a recent relationship. She also has been trying to find a relationship all these years." Chloe said triumphantly

"It just went well with the song." Beca said, trying to sound confident.

"Bec, tell me the truth. Who was that song about?" Chloe asked.

"Like I said. It's about Samantha." Beca tried again and chloe rolled her eyes.

"Really? So it's just a coincidence that you wrote 'and I'm sure one of your friends is about to come over' like what happened with Aubrey? I'm pretty certain that none of Sams friends have ever tried to stop someone from talking to her." Chloe said again.

Beca just stared at the girl, knowing she was caught. "Fine the songs about you." She finally admitted and Chloe smiled.

"Took you long enough to admit it." She rolled her eyes playfully.

"Yeah yeah can I leave now?" Beca asked trying to get to the door.

"You don't want to know what I have to say?" Chloe asked with a smirk.

"A little scared for that." Beca admitted.

"What if I said that I developed a crush on you after our first party and have just been too scared to tell you." Chloe said moving towards the girl.

"I'd ask if you were feeling okay." Beca said and the girl giggled.

Chloe wrapped her arms around Beca's neck and Beca instinctively put hers around the redheads waist.

"I really like you Becs. I've just been scared of how you'd react." Chloe confessed.

"Let me take you on a date." Beca said softly.

Chloe felt a smile grow on her face, she leaned forward and kissed the smaller girl.

"I'd love that" she whispered as they pulled away.

The two girls smiled at each other and left the room. They spent the whole rest of the party together and both couldn't wait until their first date.
