Forever After All

Beca gazed lovingly at the women across from her as she rambles about a dog she had met earlier that day at her training. 

"And Doctor Jennings even let me hold the puppy as she took the blood. She told me she can see an amazing vet in me." Chloe smiles proudly as she finished her story.

"That's amazing babe. Im so proud of you." Beca tells her. 

"You never told me why we went out to eat with everybody tonight." She mentions.

"I thought it'd be nice to spend time with everyone, I wasn't expecting separate tables though." She said.

They continued to talk and eat a bit longer, Beca talked about the studio and Chloe about her training.

"I love you." Beca randomly said as Chloe took a pause in her story.

The girl smiled widely and reached to take the other girls hand in hers, "I love you too." 

"Ma'am the stage is ready for you" A server came up and said.

Chloe raised a suspicious eyebrow at the brunette who just smiled and winked as she stood up. Beca made her way to the stage, everyone smiling at her knowingly as she went. 

"Chlo," She spoke into the mic, "I lied to you about why we're here tonight with all our friends and family. Lets all hope to God this doesn't backfire on me." Beca nervously chuckled.

Everyone laughed with her as the music began. Beca sent a wink in the redheads direction as she began the first verse 

A cold beer's got twelve ounces
A good truck's got maybe three hundred thousand
You only get so much until it's gone
Duracells in a Maglite
A needle drop on a forty-five
Are the kinda things that only last so long

When the new wears off, and they get to gettin' old
Sooner or later, time's gonna take its toll

Beca glanced out at Chloe to see her smiling right back at her. She took a nervous breath before beginning the chorus.

They say nothing lasts forever
But they ain't seen us together
Or the way the moonlight dances in your eyes
Just a T-shirt in the kitchen
With no make-up and a million
Other things that I could look at my whole life
A love like that makes a man have second thoughts
Maybe some things last forever after all

The FM station on the outskirts
Blue jeans after years of shift work
All fadin' out like I always knew they would
The strings on this guitar
The first love lost on a young heart
Those things are gonna break after the getting's good

'Cause the new wears off and they get to gettin' old
Yeah, sooner or later, time's gonna take its toll

As the last chorus began Beca made her way to Chloe and pulled her into the empty space in the middle of all the tables. She slowly danced with her as they lovingly gazed at each other with smiles on their faces.

But they ain't seen us together
Or the way the moonlight dances in your eyes
And I know there'll be that moment
The good Lord calls one of us home and
One won't have the other by their side
But Heaven knows it, that won't last too long
Maybe some things last forever after all

Beca took a step back from the redhead and reached into her pocket. She could hear the gasp come from Chloe's lips as she went down to one knee. Pulling the ring box out of her pocket, she looked up to the love of her life and sang the last line.

After all

"Chlo, you are one hundred percent my soulmate, my person, my reason to get out of bed in the morning. You are my support, my motivation, the positive light to keep me moving forward. There are so many more things I could say that you are to me, but one I would really like to add is My Wife. I loved you from the moment I met you, and I plan to love you till the day I die. Do me the honor, and marry me?" Beca asked as she popped open the ring box revealing a beautiful yet simple ring that Chloe immediately fell in love with.

Chloe slowly began nodding her head, too in shock to speak, "Yes" She let out and Beca fist pumped in the air making everyone laugh. 

She stood up, taking the ring out of the box and placing it on the girls finger, she leaned in to kiss her fiancé.

"I would've said yes to you if you proposed with a claw machine Dino Ring." Chloe whispered as she leaned her forehead against beca's as they swayed to the music being played in the background.

"Well in that case." Beca joking reached for the ring and Chloe slapped her hand away playfully.

"Too late now Mitchell it's already on my finger." She giggled.

"I love you. So much." Beca smiled.

"I Love you too. Forever." Chloe said.

"Forever" Beca repeated.

I Heard Luke Combs new song 'Forever After All' and immediately imagined a BeChloe proposal so I decided to write it. It's an amazing song and I suggest you check it out if you haven't already. See ya next time nerds!
