What Beca never thought she'd have to suffer from was Cancer. In her twenty-four years of life she's been the healthiest person, never getting sick and rarely suffered from allergies. The day she got the diagnosis was probably the worst day of her life.
She was spending some time with her two best friends, Stacie and Chloe when she began to feel light headed.
"You okay Becs?" Chloe asked as Beca swayed a bit where she stood.
"Yeah, yeah just-" before the sentence was finished Beca came crashing down to the floor, completely losing consciousness.
"Beca!" Chloe exclaimed dropping to the floor beside her as Stacie rushed off to call 911.
"Beca can you hear me? Wake up Beca!" Chloe said trying to get some sort of reaction out of the brunette.
Stacie came back in quickly while on the phone and dropped beside her friend, feeling her neck and wrist.
"Yes sir she has a pulse." "No it doesn't feel weak at all" "We were talking and she just collapsed" "She's never collapsed like this before. She rarely gets sick."
While Stacie continued giving information Chloe sat beside Beca and held her hand, squeezing it occasionally hoping to feel a squeeze back.
"It's not nice to scare me Beca. You better open your eyes or I'm never making you my pancakes again." She threatened, trying to make light of the situation.
"I'll leave the front door open and the light on." "Thank you sir." Stacie ended her call and sat on the other side of the brunette, making sure to check her pulse once and a while to confirm she's still breathing.
"I'm scared Stace, Beca's never done anything like this before. What if somethings seriously wrong?" She said.
"Chlo it's Beca we're talking about. The most stubborn person in the world. She's going to be okay and even if somethings wrong we both know she's not going down without a fight." Stacie smiled.
"You're right, you're right." She reassured herself.
Five minutes later they heard sirens in the distance. Stacie got up and stood outside their door to make sure the ambulance found their way. Once the paramedics were inside Stacie pulled chloe away.
"Mrs. Mitchell my names Steven George, can you hear me?" He asks as he grabbed her wrist.
Once she didn't respond to voice he pinched her to see if she was responsive to pain which was also a negative.
"Mrs. Mitchell my partner James is going to load you onto a stretcher and take you onto the bus. There he's going to start an IV with the help of Jazmine, our third EMT. We're going to take you to the hospital and get all your vitals on the way." He continued to explain to her.
Once she was loaded and being taken away by James Steven turned to the other girls.
"Is she allergic to any medication that you know of?" He asked and the girls shook their heads.
"She's never had a history of this before?" He asked and again they shook their heads.
"No she's rarely ever been sick. We've only ever seen her have allergies before and even that's rare. What do you think is wrong with her?" Chloe asked.
"We're not sure but the hospital will most likely do a CT and some blood work. That's the usual plan for patients that collapsed. You can meet her there if you'd like." He said before leaving to get on the bus.
Stacie and chloe quickly got in the car and followed.
Beca woke up a few hours later after all the tests were completed. She was confused but happy to see her friends beside her.
