My boy

When Beca thought about falling in love, she never thought about being a step parent. She always said she wouldn't date a women with a child. That all changed though when she met Chloe Beale and her son Lukas.

Beca was nervous as hell to enter the young boys life. She knew it'd be up to him if she could stay around or not. She felt insanely relieved when Lukas connected to her right away. The two have been best friends since.

Chloe was extremely happy with how her son took Beca. She really liked Beca and was nervous Lukas wouldn't. Seeing the two people she loved most love each other warmed her heart.

The best day of Beca's life was when Lukas asked if he could call her Dad. He said he knew that normally she would be mom but he already called chloe that and always wanted a dad. He felt that what him and Beca did together felt more like a father son relationship than anything. Beca told him that he could call her whatever he wanted and if that was dad she would be fine with it.

Chloe laughed when Beca told her about her conversation with Lukas and what he asked. She told Beca she was glad he saw her as part of his family. When Lukas drew the first family photo of the three chloe told Beca it was okay if it was too soon but instead Beca hung the picture of the fridge with a smile.

They had a happy little family and Beca was over the moon about it. She never thought she'd like kids or fall in love with a women who was already a mother but here she is. She saw Lukas as her son and wouldn't let anything change that.

Going to baseball practices, wrestling in the front yard, cartoons on weekend mornings, sleeping in their room, making pancakes on Sunday morning, everything Beca would never give up.

One day when she was driving home from work, "My Boy" by Elvie Shane came on the radio. Beca smiled widely as she listen to the lyrics, knowing this song fit her relationship with Lukas perfectly. When she arrived home she played the song for chloe and Luke and they both loved it. That became her song with the boy and they would dance to it in the living room whenever they heard it.

When the day came around that Beca proposed, she made sure to talk to Lukas about it first. The boy was ecstatic and that made Beca smile. When the two met Lukas was five and now the boy is almost thirteen. Eight years Beca got to watch him grow and she couldn't wait to watch the rest.

The day of the wedding Beca chose to do something special. She headed up to the mic on the stage and smiled to all the guests.

"Hey y'all. As many of you know, today I not only gained a beautiful wife but I'm now officially a parent to that amazing little boy over there who's not so little anymore." She said and a few people chuckled.

"I never thought I'd be the type of person to want kids or even be good with them, but the first time I looked into those eyes I knew I loved you more then anything and was happy you accepted me too. The day you asked to call me dad was definitely a shock, I never thought I'd have the title of Dad but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I thought we could celebrate by dancing to our song, only if you want to son." Beca smiled.

Lukas ran up to the stage and hugged her, "I'd love too dad" he smiled.

"Well another surprise is I recorded myself singing the song which is the track they're going to play now." Beca told him and he smiled.

The two went to the dance floor and danced to their song, smiling and laughing the whole time.

Beca sang the last chorus and smiled. Chloe met the two on the dance floor and hugged them.

"I love you two. So damn much." Beca said kissing her sons head and Chloes cheek.

"I love you too Bec." Chloe smiled.

"Love you Dad." Lukas smiled.

Beca can truly say that chloe and Lukas were the best things to ever happen to her and today was truly one of the best days of her life.
