Zombie

I know I did an apocalypse short story already, but I wanted to do another.

The Bellas have been on the road for about six months now. The outbreak came out of nowhere, they've had to learn to survive.

When the outbreak first happened, Chloe was the first to find out. She was lounging in their living room reading a book with the news playing in the background. Only she and Beca where home. She heard the news anchor talk about an emergency and it caught her attention.

"Breaking News! There has been a outbreak on the east coast! A virus has spread around causing humans to turn into what seems best described as a Zombie. The disease seems to spread through saliva and cannot be cured. Get safe immediately! Be prepared!"

Chloe gasped at the news and immediately ran upstairs to Beca.

"Beca! Beca somethings happened!" She yelled as she made her way to the brunettes room.

"What? What's going on Chlo?" Beca asked, surprised by Chloes frantic yells.

"There's been an outbreak! A virus is spreading! It's making people Zombies Bec we have to get the Bellas and get out of here!" She exclaimed.

"Contact all the Bellas, I'm going to get the Bus and start loading supplies." Beca said before taking off downstairs.

Chloe sent a group text to all the Bellas, telling them all to get to the house ASAP. Once she saw a reply from everyone she headed downstairs to help Beca.

Beca had already got their pantry packed up and on the bus and was now going through the cupboards.

"What can I do to help?" Chloe asked.

"Keep going through the cupboards and pack whatever non-perishable foods you can find. I'm going to run next door to the trebles and see who's there." Beca said before running out the door.

Chloe listened and continued packing up their food. The other girls one by one arrived at the house and went to their rooms to pack bags of essentials they needed.

"Jesse?!" Beca yelled as she got to the house.

The boy quickly came outside to meet Beca.

"Hey." He said.

"Have you seen the news?" Beca asked.

"Yeah, Benji and I have been packing up some stuff. You?" He asked.

"Chloe and I were packing the food before I came over here. I wanted to see how many of you were home." She said.

"Only Benji and I. The rest of the boys went on vacation to Florida to celebrate our last win. We have exams we needed to stay for." Jesse explained.

"How about you and Benji come with the Bellas? We're waiting on them to get home and then will head out." She said.

"Sounds good. Want to help us pack the rest of our stuff?" He asked.

"Sure." She said following him into the house.

They finished packing up their food and grabbing any type of weapon they could find. Each boy packed an essential bag and they headed over to the Bellas house.

They brought everything onto the bus where most of the girls were waiting.

"I'm going to try and get the gas out of the treble bus in case we run out." Jesse said before running back.

"We've got to go bec." Chloe said coming out of the house.

"I just need one more thing." Beca said before running inside and grabbing the two firearms she had stored in the basement. She also grabbed a picture of her and chloe and headed back out to the bus.
