Lena's POV
I was on cloud nine Me and JP finally back together. JP doesn't do labels but after Thursday nights session and what he had told me on the phone how he loves me and receiving the roses, I didn't need a label to know that he was into me and we was going places.
I had the weekend off I was knackered after a long gruelling week at work. I had left the Hope Field and now lived in the Annexe adjacent to my Uncles house, to be fair I wasn't there a lot as when I was working I stayed on site it meant my Uncle could rent the flat out and bring in some income from it.
I walk into the main house Friday night and head to the kitchen my Auntie Tanya is sitting on a bar stool on the island with a large glass of wine.
"Hey darling" she says to me.
I walk over and give her a kiss.
"WOW who got you them? " she asks and continues
"Are these from the fella you are bringing tomorrow?"
"Yes Auntie Tanya" I reply and I put the 24 Red Roses in a vase and put them on the island.
"Gosh you really like him don't you Le" she says.
"I do and you are going to love him Auntie Tanya" I say smiling.
"So what is your mans name then? " she asks.
SHIT, I need to think on my feet here I want to surprise them because I know how much they liked JP and how gutted they was when we stopped seeing each other.
"His name is Jon" I say, well I wasn't a lying was I?
"How did you meet?" she asks I can see she is genuinely happy for me.
"Through work" I say - again well I wasn't technically lying was I?
"Want a glass" she asks.
"Yeah go on then why not" I say and she pours me a large glass.
I chat with my Auntie for an hour and then my Uncle arrives home automatically entering the kitchen.
"And how are my two favourite girls?" he says as he kisses Tanya and then kisses the top of my head.
"Nice flowers" he says.
"Yes they are Lena's her new bloke got them for her" My Auntie says smiling at me.
"Is this the fella you are bringing tomorrow?" he asks.
"Yes" I beam.
"Right well I'll leave you girls to it I'll order a curry both want your usual's?" he asks.
"Yes please" Me and my Auntie both say in union and laugh.
"Le I cant wait to meet this fella of yours its finally good to have you back baby girl I can see how happy you are" my Auntie says.
Our curry comes and we all eat together catching up thankfully no more awkward questions about my new man.
I go to bed at 10PM I haven't even checked my phone which is something I never do as I'm always on guard for the Ashcroft.
I check my phone, text JP 19.30PM
"So looking forward to seeing you tomorrow babe"
I reply
"Me to, I don't know if you heard me earlier but I love you too JP"
