JP's POV
I felt my stomach drop when Lena left me on Monday morning to head back to London. A part of me was missing already. She wasn't just my lover, she was my best friend, my confident, my rock she was my everything.
The rest of our time together had been perfect after the "Robyn gate" incident. It was coincidence to bump in to my CEO who Lena had clearly charmed just by being her normal beautiful self. I was seeing Jeremy Baker today to see what the salary offer was that he was proposing for me to manage both sites.
I head into the bathroom to get ready for work when I notice Lena had left one of her rings behind - what a touch! It was a ring she wore on her right ring finger. I slipped it into my pocket and would head into the jewellers at lunchtime for them to tell me the size of the ring.
I had been into the jewellers the week behind and had picked out a bracelet for Lena I had not personally given it to her yet I had simply slipped the box it was in into her holdall she would come across it when she unpacked.
I head into work and my meeting with Jeremy Baker we made small talk and then got down to business. The offer he made was ridiculous and more then I thought he would offer I would be mad to turn it down. I knew it was only once every six weeks I had to travel up to Leeds and stay. The salary increase meant me and Lena could buy our own place together not that we had ever discussed this but for me this was always on the cards to buy a place with Lena and fingers crossed my apartment would hopefully be sold soon I had a second viewing this week. I knew with this new job role I would have to put the hours in but I wasn't afraid of hard graft.
After a two hour meeting with Jeremy we completed our deal with a firm handshake and I would be back in London semi permanent in four weeks time. It is now approaching lunchtime and I check my phone as I head outside.
Missed call Lena - text Lena
"Call me when you are free I need to hear my boyfriends voice x x".
I smile like a div at my phone and call Lena.
"Hey gorgeous you ok?" I ask.
"Well JP that was very naughty of you" She giggled as she tried to tell me off.
"What?" I say a little confused.
"My surprise JP it is simply beautiful I love it thank you darling that really cheered me up after leaving you" She gushed down the phone at me
"Do you like the engraving on the heart pendant Lena?" I asked grinning from ear to ear.
"Oh JP it is perfect just perfect you are so thoughtful" she sounded quite emotional.
"The engraving is true......you are my absolute everything Lena".
I told her the good news about the meeting and how things went and that I would be staying with her in the next four weeks....she squealed down the phone nearly bursting my ear drum! I asked her when her next weekend off was and she told me it wasn't for another six weeks yet. I told her to keep the weekend completely free.
I had a lot to organise in six weeks but it was do able. I was gonna shoot down to London this weekend I knew Lena would be working but I was desperate to see her and I wanted her to meet my Mum and Dad - I had plans to put together whilst Lena was out of my way.
I ring Zane
"JP hello mate you all good?" Zane answers in his usual happy tone.
"All good Zane, how you all doing?" I ask.
"Yeah good although Carlton is trying to walk now...jeez we need eyes in the back of head" he says laughing.
"Keeping you on your toes ay" I laugh and continue
