Lauren

Soon enough it's time for lunch and I meet up with Alex, Chris, Lizzy, and Jamie.

"How'd the meeting with Mr. Daniels go?" Lizzy asks

"As of Friday, I'm no longer a student here," I say

"Oh, Alex you need to go file for early graduation because I called Rick back, and you're coming with me," I say

"What'd you say to get him to agree?" Alex asks

"I told him that you're good at breaking up fights," I reply

"Well, I am pretty good at that, I'll meet with Mr. Daniels later today and see what I can do," Alex says

The bell rings and everyone goes to their next class. Well, everyone but me, I get out at lunch so I go do whatever. Since the parade is Friday morning, I need to clean up the truck and trailer. I drive back home and go to where the guys are.

"Hey guys," I say

"Hey Laur." Max greets

"Truck and trailer for Friday, where is it?" I ask

Just as I ask that Dagen drives up.

"Right here." He shouts

We get to work washing and detailing the truck so it looks good.

After school, the football team comes over so that we can figure out where everyone's going to stand. A series of trucks pull in the driveway and then there's a bunch of guys.

"Okay, everybody line up like a bunch of little kids!" I shout

They all groan but get in a line. I jump up on the trailer and start calling out jersey numbers since I don't know names. I jump down when I start running out of the room. Eventually, all the football players are on the trailer and I'm on the ground.

"You said, you're riding on the trailer with us, where are you gonna sit?" Alex asks

I look at him and motion for him to scoot over, he does and I squeeze myself in between Alex and Chris.

"Right here," I say

"Ya know in hindsight, we should've gotten this into town before washing it," Dagen says

"Yeah, well, we can do that on Thursday," I tell him
