"We're gonna go car shopping, would you like to come with us?" My mom asks me
"Nah, I'm good," I respond
"Alright, have fun," Dad says and walks out the door
After about 10 minutes, I get bored and decide to go over to Lauren's and see what she's up to. I walk out of the house and across the road to Lauren's. I get to her driveway when there's a big boom that makes me jump. I quickly walk up the driveway and climb over the gates. Two more big booms and I'm off running towards the sound. I find the source of the noise, Lauren, Jamie, and Lizzy with big guns. They don't notice me, so I go stand behind Lauren and watch what she's doing, I've never shot a gun before. She pulls the trigger and the recoil sends her backward, knocking us both down.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Lauren asks rolling off of me
"I got bored, mom and dad went car shopping," I reply
Lauren stands up and offers her hand to help me up. I gladly take it and dust myself off.
"I really hope you mean truck shopping," Lauren smirks
"Well, I hope not, I wouldn't look good in a truck." I bite back
Lauren rolls her eyes and walks away. I turn to Jamie and Lizzy.
"Come to the rodeo tonight, there's gonna be a big fireworks show." Lizzy smiles
"And for the record, trucks are the only way you can get out if it rains a lot," Jamie speaks
"Now come eat lunch," Lizzy adds
I nod my head and follow the pair to the house to find Lauren on the phone with someone.
"Yeah, we're just about to eat lunch, call me when you guys are about a mile out."
The person on the other end speaks and Lauren talks again.
"Thanks, I know that Jack will want you here," Lauren says and hangs up
"Xander comin'?" Jamie asks
"Yeah," Lauren says and pulls out some pizza
