-Mockingbird-
299 AC
Harrenhal"Can. You. Read?" Lord Tywin asked Amory Lorch, someone, who Valyria also hated. "My lord?" "Can you read?" Tywin spoke again, staring at the knight. "This letter detailing our infantry movements was meant for Lord Daemon of house Marbrand. It was sent to Lord Marlin of house Dormond." He's stated, looking to Lorch again.
"My apologies my lord, I must-" "Girl, fetch me the History of the Greater and the Lesser Houses. The one on the-" he stopped as Arya grabbed the correct book. Lord Tywin turned back to the bumbling knight. "My cupbearer can read better than you." Tywin opened the book and flipped through the pages.
"To whom does house Dormond owe allegiance?" The room was silent. Lorch looked at the paper "My lord, I-" "To the Starks of Winterfell! "Who have twenty thousand men, and my son!" The lion roared. "I judged you might be good for something more than brutalizing peasants. I see I overestimated you. If you ever put my son's life at risk again, I'll-. Leave us." Ser Amory left hastily.
"Put the book away girl." And Arya did as she was bid. "Maybe you should devise our next battle plan while you're about it," Tywin said mockingly. A guard knocked on the door before announcing the arrival of Lord Baelish. 'Dammit' thought Valyria 'He'll recognize Arya'.
"Give us the room." Lord Tywin stated everyone got up. "Not you Valyria." She sat back down. "Clear all this," Tywin said to Arya who was slowly moving about the table. "Lord Tywin!" Littlefinger greeted "Oh and Lady Valyria." "Baelish." Valyria greeted back with distaste.
"Wine?" Lord Tywin questioned, "Thank you." "What news from the capital?" Valyria asked, "I traveled here directly from Renly Baratheon's camp." "Ah, the late King Renly. Rather a short reign. Murdered by a woman I hear."
"So they say. There has been talk of, other forces, dark forces." "Here," Tywin called over Arya as she filled his and Valyria's cup. "Men love to blame demons when their grand plans unravel." Lord Tywin chuckled.
"It is my belief that a moment of chaos affords opportunities, lost soon after," Littlefinger spoke with pride. "You say that as if you were the first man alive to think it. Yes, a crisis is an opportunity. What other brilliant insights have you brought here today?" Valyria spoke, annoyed by Lord Baelish's words.
"After the Lannisters and the Starks, the Tyrells command the largest host. Their lands are the most fertile in the Seven Kingdoms, feeding horses, and soldiers-" "Yes, yes, yes." Lord Tywin interrupted "The Tyrells have not yet declared for any of the surviving Kings. Loras wants revenge, he blames Stannis for Renly's death. And Margaery . . ." Littlefinger trailed off "Wants to be queen." Tywin stated firmly. "Yes, she does."
"House Tyrell rebelled against the Iron Throne, against my grandson." "They did. And perhaps that treason should be punished, one day. After Stannis and Robb Stark are defeated." "More wine for Lord Baelish," Tywin ordered, as Arya went to fetch the wine, Lord Baelish started to stare at her.
"If you will allow me to represent your family's interests, I believe that an advantageous agreement-" He spoke, still looking at Arya. Valyria knew she had to do something."The Tyrell host has returned to Highgarden." "They have." As he spoke Arya accidentally spilled wine onto Littlefinger.
"Pardon, my lord." "Hmf It's only wine." He said casually, still trying to look at her face. Though this time it was Lord Tywin who brought the mockingbird's attention back."You would ride there yourself?"
"Tonight, with your leave." "I'll have an answer by nightfall. That'll be all girl." Tywin spoke irritated with Lord Baelish's distraction. "And what else?" Valyria questioned pulling the Lord back into the conversation.
"On your son, Tyrion's directive, I met with Catelyn Stark." "Why?" Lord Tywin questioned. "He had an interesting proposal for her, concerning her daughters." "Hmff." "Is that all?" Valyria questioned "Yes."
