-First Kills-

298 AC
Kings Landing

The royal party and the Starks had arrived in Kings Landing and everything went on uneventfully. One day Cersei had told Valyria to go guard the King or something because she was going to be looking for new personal guards. So Valyria walked over to the King's solar where she knew Jaime would be. When she arrived Jaime was standing outside the door. "Aren't you supposed to be guarding my sister?" He questioned as the dragon slinked over to him. "She told me essentially to fuck off." "Oh." He said surprised at his sister's dismissiveness. Suddenly the large doors of the solar opened and Jaime's cousin, Lancel, the King's squire weaseled out.

"Kingslayer, dragon spawn, get in here." Robert bellowed at them. The two walked inside to where Ser Barristan stood in front of a desk, the King was sitting behind. "Surrounded by Lannisters, every time I close my eyes, I see their blond hair, and their smug, satisfied faces. Must wound your pride eh? Standing out there like a glorified sentry. Jaime Lannister, son of the mighty Tywin, forced to mind the door as your king, eats, and drinks, and shits, and fucks. And you, Valyria Targaryen, daughter of the mad king, forced to guard the people who murdered your family." Robert spoke heartily. Valyria looked at Jaime, raising her eyebrow.

"So come on, we're telling war stories. Who was your first kill, not counting old men, Kingslayer?" "One of the outlaws in the brotherhood," Jaime spoke. "I was there that day. You were only a squire. 16 years old." Ser Barristan added. "You killed Sam Toyen with a countary past, best move I ever saw." "Good fighter Toyen, but he lacked stamina." "Your outlaw, any last words?" Robert asked. "I cut his head off, so no."

"And you, Dragon. Who was your first." The King spoke mockingly of her. "A Lannister soldier at the Sack of Kings Landing. He thought a 14-year-old princess would be an easy target." Valyria spoke reminiscing.

Robert looked at Jaime "What about Aerys Targaryen. What did the Mad King say as you stabbed him in the back, I never asked. Did he call you a traitor? Did he plead for a reprieve?" "He said the same thing he'd been saying for hours." "Burn them all," Valyria said in unison with Jaime. The two looked at each other, shuddering at the memory. "That's all l, your grace," Jaime spoke before nodding to Ser Barristan and leaving the room, Valyria following close behind.

It wasn't that talk of her father upset her. Aerys was a terrible king and a shit father. But the fact that Robert had to rub it in, that her father was a tyrant, that all her family was either dead or exiled. After the conversation with the King, Valyria walked back to the White Sword tower to train or do anything to take her thoughts off Robert.
