-A Pack of Wolves-

298 AC
Winterfell

Soon they were riding through the gates of Winterfell, there were two riders at the front carrying the Baratheon banners followed by two holding the Lannister banners. They were followed by Jaime and Valyria who rode in front of the crown prince, with the Hound behind him.

They were first through the gates, then followed by the queen's wheelhouse; then, flanked by more Kingsguard, Robert rode in last.

The courtyard was filled with the whole of Winterfell's staff along with Lord Stark, his wife, and their children; a boy, who must have been the heir; a pretty girl with hair kissed by fire, Joffrey's betrothed; another girl with the classic Stark look of grey eyes and dark brown hair; another boy with similar looks to the youngest daughter but shared his mother's Tully features; and finally, their last son had auburn hair and was next to Lady Stark.

The royal wheelhouse came through revealing King Robert himself surrounded by the other Kingsguard knights. As the King rode to the center of the courtyard, Lord Stark kneeled, the rest of the crowd following. It took everything in Valyria not to burst out laughing as she watched the fat drunken stag king dismount his poor horse with the help of some squires and a wooden crate.

The King strode straight to where Eddard kneeled, with a motion of his hand Lord Stark rose and Winterfell followed. The King looked at his old friend, "You've got fat." The yard went silent unsure of what was to happen next. 'Well look who's talking, ' Valyria thought to herself. And apparently, Eddard had the same thought for he looked Robert up and down before raising an eyebrow. The King and the Lord of Winterfell laughed before pulling each other into a bone-crushing hug.

"Cat." The King called out as he embraced her like a long lost sister. Robert then patted the boy next to Lady Stark before turning back to his friend " Nine years, why haven't I seen you? Where the hell have you been?" The King said. " Guarding the North for you, your grace. Winterfell is yours." Eddard replied with a smile.

At this Cersei exited the wheelhouse with Tommen, and Myrcella close behind. Valyria then heard the youngest Stark girl ask where the 'imp' was and was quickly shushed by her older sister.

The King made his way to the boy next to Ned who must not have been over the age of 15. "You must be Robb." The King spoke while the two shook hands. "Aye, you're a pretty one." said the King to Joffrey's betrothed. "And your name is?" He questioned the youngest girl "Arya." The King then moved to the last of the Starks "Ooh show us your muscles." The young boy complied, and the King laughed  "You'll be a soldier."

Finally, now that introductions were done, Valyria got off her horse and ripped off that fucking helmet she had to wear. And Jaime did the same but in a much more elegant manner. "I fucking hate this thing," Valyria said gesturing to the gold monstrosity. Jaime merely smiled at her annoyance. The youngest girl . . . Arya spoke again to her siblings. "That's Jaime Lannister, the queen's twin brother. And that's Valyria Targaryen, the Red Dragon, she is the last Targaryen in Westeros and was the first woman to be knighted and named to the Kingsguard." "Will you please shut up." Her older sister said in annoyance.

Cersei then walked to Eddard, she held her hand out and Lord Stark kissed her Emerald ring. "My queen." He greeted, while Cersei only gave a small smirk. "My queen." Lady Catelyn said as she dipped down into a curtsey.

"Take me to your crypt, I want to pay my respects." The King ordered as he looked at his old friend. "We've been riding since dawn, shouldn't we rest and refresh first? The dead can wait." Cersei protested, but the King ignored her calling for a lantern as Eddard followed the command of his king. "Where's the imp?" Arya questioned again, though Cersei heard her before walking up to Jaime and Valyria "Where is our brother? Go and find the little beast." Cersei said in a cold tone.
