-Moon Tea-

284 AC
Kings Landing

The Kingsguard wasn't that big of a change for Valyria, which surprised her. A week after the Cersei incident all of Valyria's things were transported to her new room in the White Sword Tower, she was also fitted for her gold and white armor. And most importantly she was allowed to carry Dark Sister once again. The week after that she began her duties because Valyria was raised in the Red Keep, it made the jobs of Jaime and Ser Barristan much easier as they didn't need to show her all the secret passageways. The former princess knew more of the hidden tunnels and corridors than both the Lord Commander and her friend combined. Valyria was most often posted guarding the queen, while Jaime and Ser Barristan mostly guarded the king. In the weeks that followed Robert appointed the four more knights needed to fill the remaining Kingsguard posts.

Around four months later, Cersei pulled Valyria into her room and ordered all of her handmaidens out before locking the door. " I'm with child." She said in a panicked voice. " Well isn't that a good thing your grace?" The queen merely shot her a fierce look at the use of her title "It's Robert's." She said in a disgusted tone. "Oh." "Valyria, you've lived in Kings Landing your whole life. Find me someone that can make moon tea." She said more confidently. "Cersei that's a big decision to make, are you sure you-." Cersei cut her off "It is a command from your queen . . . please." She begged at the end. "Fine I will help you, but you have to get someone else to guard you until I get back." The Targaryen said begrudgingly. "Deal." The princess set out to the streets of Kings Landing.

She wore a plain tunic with brown pants and a cloak with a hood to conceal her Targaryen features. She made her way down to one of the orphanages she used to visit with Rhaegar. Once she arrived she spoke to the woman in charge, " It's been a while, Myra." The middle-aged woman looked shocked to see the 15-year-old princess. "My princess we feared the worst when the Lannister's sacked the city, I'm glad you're safe." She said with relief apparent in her voice.

"I'm not a princess anymore, Myra, His grace King Robert has knighted and raised me to his Kingsguard," Valyria answered with a sad smile. "You will always be our princess. What did you need I assume you didn't come down here just to chat with me." Myra said getting straight to the point. "I'm looking for someone who makes moon tea." The Targaryen said Myra looked bewildered at the young girl. "Oh no, it's not for me, I'm on business for the Queen," Valyria said, slightly embarrassed at not clarifying.

"Well, I mustn't hinder the queen's business." The elder woman spoke with a hint of mockery in her voice. "There is a woman down the street, she makes moon tea for Lord Baelish's brothel. I'll take you to her." Valyria nodded. "Gerra, you're in charge. I'll be back soon."

With that, the two walked through the bustling streets of flea bottom. Eventually, they stopped at one of the many hovels. Myra knocked twice, the door opened to reveal an older woman with long grey hair, pale blue eyes, and wrinkles decorating her face. She quickly beckoned them in and closed the door. "What can I do for you girls?" The old woman asked in a soft voice. "We need some moon tea," Valyria spoke confidently. The woman merely nodded before walking to a large cabinet and pulling out a small ceramic container and handing it to the disguised Targaryen.

Valyria pulled a coin purse off of her belt. As she opened it to hand the woman her payment, she felt a warm wrinkled hand on top of hers. She looked up, questioning what the elder female was doing. "You don't owe me, anything Princess." Valyria stood frozen to the spot, mouth slightly opened as she stared baffled at the woman. "Your eyes dear, not many people have purple ones. And I would watch as you and your brother came down here and you would stay with the children. Oh, how they smiled when you visited, that was payment enough for me." The woman said, lost in memories of the past.  "Please take at least this," Valyria said, holding out 5 gold dragons. The woman gave in to the younger girls' wishes and took the money.

After Valyria thanked Myra for her help and walked her back to the orphanage, she rushed back to the Red Keep. After she delivered the moon tea to Cersei. Her days went on normally without a hitch though she noticed Jaime disappearing during the evenings.
