-The Cruel Lion and the Rose."

300 AC
Kings Landing

The royal wedding had finally arrived. The Kingsguard were all present at the Sept. Four were stationed by the doors, Valyria and Jaime were in the front row with Cersei, Tommen, and Tywin. Ser Loras was stationed with his family across the aisle. The Sept doors opened and Margaery Tyrell walked down the aisle on her father's arm.

She wore a white sleeveless dress with rose-themed embroidery in silver thread and hundreds of fabric roses attached to the train. She released from her father's arm and took Joffrey's extended one.

They walked up the steps where the King then took off his cloak and draped it over Margaery's shoulders, the two joined hands and the High Septon warped the ribbon around their conjoined hands. "Let it be known that Margaery of House Tyrell, and Joffrey I'd the houses Lannister and Baratheon. Are one heart, one flesh, one soul. Cursed be he who would seek to tear them asunder." The Septon unwrapped the ribbon. "With this kiss, I pledge my love," Joffrey announced.

As the couple shared the kiss, the audience clapped. "We have a new Queen." Valyria heard Sansa whisper to Tyrion. "Better her than you." He said back. The couple then turned to face the attendees as they clapped. The bells rang in rejoice.

The festivities were in full swing. Valyria stood behind Cersei and Tywin, while Jaime was out in the crowd. A group of performers was playing The Rains of Castamere and Joffrey sat bored in his seat while Margaery was very interested in the music.

Lady Olenna walked up to Sansa and talked to her before returning to her seat. Though the performers weren't finished Joffrey grew tired of them. "Very good, very good, off you go." He dismissed and threw some gold at the musicians, they quickly picked up the gold before scampering off.

Margaery quickly distracted Joffrey. "My love, why don't we make the announcement." She whispered sweetly. Joffrey smiled and stood up. "Everyone, the Queen would like to say a few words," Joffrey announced.

All chatter ceased as everyone waited to hear their new Queen. "We are so fortunate to enjoy this marvelous food and drink. Not all among us are so lucky. To thank the gods for bringing the recent war to a just end, King Joffrey has decreed that the leftovers from our feast be given to the poorest of his city." Margaery clapped at the end and everyone joined in.

After everything had died down, Valyria scanned the crowd and found Jaime talking to Ser Loras. She smirked knowing that must have been an interesting conversation. Cersei then stood up and walked over to Margaery and congratulated her on the wedding.

A very tall woman approached, she had short straw-colored hair and blue eyes, she was also very young, still in her late teens. This must have been the woman that returned Jaime.

The woman bowed before the royal couple. "Your grace, my King, my Queen." She greeted, looking at each of them as she spoke. Margaery held her arm out and the woman took it shaking her hand. "Lady Brienne, so good of you to come." Margaery greeted back. "I'm no lady, your grace."

The woman whose name Valyria now knew as Brienne replied. "Did you just bow?" Cersei questioned. This behavior interested Valyria as well. As far as she knew, she was the only one who bowed, and now another woman was as well and stating that she wasn't a lady. "Apologies, your grace. I never did master the curtsy." Brienne said.

"You're the one who put a sword through Renly Baratheon." Joffrey pointed at her. "That's not true, my love. Brienne has nothing to do with it." Margaery clarified. "Shame, I'd knight the man that put an end to that deviant's life," Joffrey replied disappointed. Brienne's features dropped at the mention of the youngest Baratheon brother. It was then she understood, Brienne loved him but knew he wouldn't love her back.
