Kings Landing

After the King's coronation feast, Valyria was moved to her old room in the Red Keep. While she was guarded and not allowed out of the room unless sanctioned by the King, she enjoyed it much more than that of her stay in the dungeons. Jaime would visit whenever his Kingsguard schedule would allow him to and Cersei would come every day to have a luncheon with Valyria. And her bruises had disappeared, along with the bags under her eyes, as she was finally able to get a good night's rest.

In the month since the coronation, she had learned that her brother's wife, Elia Martell, and their two children were killed by Gregor Clegane and Amory Lorch. Valyria was distraught upon hearing the news, she knew Elia didn't deserve that nor did her children, they were just another innocent casualty in a war caused by her brother's stupidity, and her blood boiled at the thought. Cersei also told Valyria that she was now betrothed to Robert since Lyanna Stark had died, and the wedding would take place in a moons time.

From that day on, Cersei would bring her handmaidens and seamstress to Valyria's room to keep her friend involved in the preparations. Although Valyria wasn't by any means a proper lady and couldn't help her friend make alterations to her dress, she did however provide Cersei with good advice when she was unsure of herself or any part of the wedding.

As the date drew closer Cersei started to visit less frequently, though Valyria guessed that made sense as Cersei would have a lot of preparations to complete. So the princess practiced her sword fighting stances, even though she didn't have her sword or any other weapon for that matter.

She would also read the many books Tyrion had dropped off on his occasional visits, the two had grown rather close during those days, Valyria found that she and Tyrion shared a similar sense of humor and the two would talk about the going ons in the castle.
