Kendra's POV

I look around the apartment, glad to see that I have a new environment. Eufy has always been there for me, through thick and thin. And even now that things are a bit challenging, she still managed to be my friend, whereas she's the one who really needs a friend right now.

I moved my whole life over here, just so that I could be able to get over the one man who I've ever loved and who used me. I loved James, so much that sometimes it scared me. And all he did was lie to me and take me for a fool. I can't believe that he cheated.

Up until now I still can't believe it. That he cheated. That he looked else where. Because I gave him everything, I did everything. I was in for the long haul, because I don't date to pass time.

It took a long while before I fell in love with James because I don't allow people in so easily, but he kept trying and at a point I thought he was sincere and genuine. I guess I was wrong.

No one can ever love that much. No one can ever love that hard as much as I do. The world would be a better place if people gave me back the same love that I give them. If people would love with as much intensity as I did.

I'm never making the same mistake ever again. I'm never giving someone that kind of love ever again.

A knock sounds on the door and pulls me out of my thoughts. I get up from my place on the couch, placing down the ice cream I was eating, before making my way to open the door.

And my my my, these eyes of mine have been blessed without a doubt.

"Uh..." he looks confused.

"I'm Kendra. I'm staying here with Eufy now. And you are?"

"I'm Ale. Alexandre. Um... where's Eufy?"

"Oh she went out this evening. She had to accompany a friend to a charity gala. You want to come over and wait for her?"

"No. That won't be necessary. I live right next door" he says and my eyes widen in recognition.

The neighbour.

"Okay then" I say and he nods, before closing the door.

Eufy-Loviette's POV

"Thank you for accompanying me tonight. You made my night" Gerald says, coming out of the car after me.

"Uh... yes. That was alright" I say uncomfortably, feeling someone's eyes on me.

"Eufy" Gerald mutters, his voice now very low.

I turn to look at him, and he comes closer, and before I can blink, his lips are on mine, kissing me, moulding with mine.

I push him off after a few seconds.

"Gerald what was that for?!" I yell "I thought I told you and made it crystal clear that the only thing I can offer you is friendship"
