"You have to leave the table once you realise love is no more being served"
- Nina Simone*~*~*
"He broke up with me. The damn idiot left me over nothing, after I mother freaking told him I loved him the day before" she wailes to her group of friends, downing two more shots of tequila.
Her friends couldn't believe their ears and eyes. Eufy-Loviette never cried over anything or anyone. And to think it's because her boyfriend broke up with her. Then she must have really loved him for sure.
She was a mess. Hair all over the place. Mascara streaming down her cheeks in black along with her tears. She looked like a train wreck. But she didn't care. As long as she was drowning her sorrows. At least she thought she was at the moment.
"Oh Eufy. You're so naive. A man will never leave you over nothing. There has to be definitely something. Or someone!" Her bestfriend, Loren, stated with a smirk
"Oh shut up! I gave him everything. What could he have been possibly looking for?" She asks with furrowed eyebrows
"Well technically not everything" Loren states again and the rest of the others share a laugh, knowing just well where this conversation was going
Eufy was still a virgin. Always coming around to complain how her ex, Mateo, would always banter with her of not satisfying his needs.
But at this moment she was damn right happy she didn't give out the one precious thing she has control of to a jerk.
Afterall, he could go to freaking hell for all she cared.
She downed another drink, the sharp heat travelling through her throat down to her stomach. She didn't know what she was taking. She only told the bartender to make it something strong. And it seems like he really obeyed her orders. Three shots of that and she was down, fully drunk and still wailing about Mateo. Images of them together would pop up now and then, making it's way into her head. A whole year and six months. What a waste of time. Didn't she mean anything to him? Must it always be her who's putting in all the efforts? She does everything she can to keep that relationship standing. Even days when Mateo is being a jerk, she would still shut her mouth and make sure her patience doesn't run thin, just so that she wouldn't lose the man in her life. It's not that she loved him more than life itself, she did love him, but she couldn't stand being lonely. But what was the point? At the end of the day, look at her. Sitting in a bar with friends who didn't understand her predicament, a boyfriend who had broken up with her over the damn phone, and a feeling of loneliness seeping in.
The shame, they live in the same apartment, you would at least expect that Mateo would be man enough to stand infront of her and tell her what she did wrong and why he's breaking up with her but no, the coward, broke up with her over the phone and hunged up on her when she started to sob, asking him to come home so they could talk about it, asking him what was wrong.
Yesterday
"Babe" I mutter cheerfully, wanting to so badly hear the sound of Mateo's voice. He hasn't been home the whole day due to how stressful his internship is and having to balance that with school. I'm wondering how he's taking the pressure.
