Alexandre Antoine Constantine (IV) POV
"Why doesn't Eufy know what?" she asks, looking at the both of us expectantly, waiting for an answer.
Today is the day my end comes, I'm finally going to lose the first woman I've ever loved this much.
"Ale was wrapping up your Christmas present a few minutes ago and I asked him why you didn't know after he was done" Eulalie says, and in that moment I've never loved my sister more than I do now. I send her a look of gratitude.
"Uh... yes. She's right" I fumble "If you knew it wouldn't be a surprise anymore now would it?"
"I guess you are right." She says hesitantly, and I know there's a tiny part of her that is doubting us, because her eyes snap around and there's not even a sccisors in sight. "But 'Lalie, what are you doing here?"
She calls her 'Lalie too? Could we be anymore alike?
"The last time I dropped Kendra home she told me where you lived and the apartments kind of confused me today. I just came over here to visit you and then I knocked on Ant- uh, I mean Alexandre's door instead of yours" she says and Eufy still looks at her, as if that explanation isn't enough "He showed me your door but then I saw the gift and it turned into a conversation"
"That's alright. Why don't you come over? It's the opposite door, I just need to discuss something with Ale and I'll be right out" she says and Eulalie nods, muttering a 'sure', with one more look in my direction which lingered a little bit more than it should have, and which Eufy certainly took note of, she leaves my apartment.
"Hey" I say, clearing my throat, which seems like a wrong move.
"Are you okay?" I ask her, noticing how she's wrapped up in a hoodie and a pair of joggers that doesn't go past her abdomen due to her bump. I wonder how she can make a bump look so attractive. But I guess that's how it is when you're in love with someone, even their very simple actions makes you fall in love with them even more.
"I had an argument with Kendra. Kind of didn't want to bump into her. I don't know if I'm ready to talk to her yet"
"Why what happened?" I ask her, worried. I use my index finger to tip her chin up to look at me.
"It was kind of an awkward situation that I don't want you to know about"
"Why?" I chuckle
"Because I don't want you imagining it" she says, pecking my lips. I love it when she steals kisses from me. "By the way, what was Eulalie doing here?"
"I thought she already told you?" I furrow my eyebrows
"Uhuh.." she nods "I thought maybe you would have more to add" she says, not looking at me.
"Babe are you jealous?" I ask and she snorts
"Jealousy isn't my thing Ale" she sighs
