"I am sorry I brought up your son's father a while ago" Simon apologizes, looking slightly embarrassed, as I feed Autry the potatoes I ordered for him.
We have roamed Paris all day long, looking at Paintings in Museums and visiting monument places. I must say it has been fun and I have enjoyed myself. It has been a long time since I enjoyed myself that much, or even felt that much happiness.
I look at him, sighing before saying, "It doesn't matter. I guess you did not mean to, besides, you brought us to have lunch to pay for it I guess"
"No" he shakes his head, wiping his mouth before placing his hand on mine across the table "I brought you here because I wanted to. Because I wanted to have a good time with you, and also because I wanted today to be one of the days I would never forget. It is not like I need to try anyway, that beautiful face can never be forgotten" he says and I chuckle, covering my mouth with my right hand.
"You do have a way with words Simon"
"Does it impress you?" He asks, looking surprisingly hopeful.
"Yes. Yes it does"
"Then that is a good thing and I am glad to hear" he places fork of rice in his mouth, finishes chewing before asking, "Did you enjoy your day?"
"Yes!" I respond excitedly, feeding Autry who is so concentrated on my phone, more than potatoes. "I had such a wonderful day. I didn't know how much I needed to unwind before now"
"I'm glad I joined in on that happiness"
"Of course. I think I would have been super bored if I didn't have my own personal and handsome tour guide"
He places his cutlery down before speaking, looking me straight in the eyes, "Oh so you think I'm handsome?"
"Definitely" I smile, not needing any reason to lie.
"Can I ask you something? Forgive me, but it is quite personal"
"Yes. If I can give you an answer, I will"
"Why did you end the relationship with your baby's father?" He asks, possibly thinking my baby's father was my ex boyfriend.
I sigh and he butts in before I can respond, "You dont have to answer if you dont want to"
"You asked me so I guess you want to have an answer." I shrug, giving Autry some water "Well, let's just say we were from two different worlds, and I didn't know how to adjust mine for it to fit someone like him, and he couldn't adjust his to fit someone like me, even if he wanted to"
"That sounds complicated" he says, looking confused
"It is - was" I correct myself
"Well, I just wanted to know the mistakes he made, so that I wouldn't make same with you in our relationship" he says and I look up at him in shock. Ever since we met, this is the most confident I have heard Simon be, and honestly, it is a blow.
"Wow, and what makes you think you and I will have a relationship?" I ask with an amused smile, the surprise wearing off.
"Let's just say I am hopeful"
"So you really think you stand a chance huh?"
"Honestly, I do" he says and I laugh, holding off the conversation for now.

Autry, Simon and I finally arrive at the Eiffel Tower, and I cant help but gasp.
"Wow, the view is amazing from here"
"I know right. I was amazed myself the first time I saw it"
"It's beautiful"
"I know" he says and I turn to see him, looking at me.
"I know this is too soon and probably even stupid of me, but I like you Eufy- a lot."
"I-" I cut myself short, not knowing what to say, but he places his index finger on my lips before I can try and get a word out again.
"Dont worry Eufy, you dont have to say anything, I know this is a very big surprise, and I don't want to rush you, but..." he trails off, tracing my lips with his finger, making me shudder.
It has been so long since I felt this way
"But what?" I manage to whisper
"Can I kiss you?" He asks and for a moment, I lose my breath.
"Mama, kiss" Autry repeats, making the both of us chuckle.
One kiss wont hurt right? All my life I have not been with more than three men, and all of it ended wrongly. I would not meet the man for me if I do not allow myself another chance at love. I just have to hope and pray, that this too, wont end in a heartbreak for me.
"Yes" I whisper, covering Autry's eyes, and with a smile, he leans down and connects his lips to mine.
The kiss is slow, soft, sweet- safe. It is nothing like the hot and passionate one Ale and I used to share.
No Eufy, you should not be thinking about him in this moment.
He doesn't deepen the kiss and neither do I, I just allow myself to be pulled in, to feel. His hands find my waist, kissing me some more, before releasing my bottom lip with a pop.
"Thank you" he says breathlessly, and I cant help but laugh
"What?"
"You are just too polite" I say and he blushes, and I place a kiss on Autry's head, enjoying the view before me.
I dont know where this is going, but at least I'm willing to give this a try.

I'm sorry it has taken weeks before I'm able to update. I leave Tuesday, and hopefully for all of us, *fingers crossed*, I can finish this book and take it out of the way.
