*Y/N's POV*

"Wait, wait!" Hermione interrupted me as I was telling her and Ginny about the Fred incident near the fireplace in the Common Room, "He smacked you where?"

"On my ass, Hermione!" I squealed. Ginny, Hermione, and I all burst out into fits of laughter.

"Then what happened?" Ginny asked, squeezing a pillow.

"Well, we ran into McGonagall but she let us off the hook as long as I took the boys straight to Madam Pomfrey, which I did. But trust me, it gets way more interesting,"

"Why? Did Fred do something else?" Hermione asked.

"No, I actually left them there because Madam Pomfrey said I shouldn't waste the rest of my evening waiting on them. Then I went looking for you two so I could tell you what happened and you'll never guess who my clumsy ass bumped into?"

     "Who?" they asked in unison.

"Cedric Diggory." Both of the girls' mouths fell open as they waited for me to continue, "I was rounding a corner and I must've not been paying attention and I smacked right into him. I didn't even notice it was him until he grabbed my hand."

     "He did what?" Ginny squealed.

"I know, I know. It was so strange. We'd never even talked before then, I mean Hermione just pointed him out to me today. But he, um," I began to lose my words.

     "What happened Y/N?" Hermione asked.

"He asked me out. Cedric Diggory asked me out on a date."

"WHAT?!" they exclaimed in unison once again, all of us falling into fits of giggles again.

Before I could continue on with my story, the entrance port opened and the twins stumbled inside, back to normal.

"Oi! What's all the screaming and giggling about?" George asked.

"Yeah, we can hear you from all the way down the bloody hallway," Fred continued.

"Sorry boys, just girl talk and things," Hermione answered.

"Nice to see you two back to yourselves," I smirked, looking Fred up and down but instantly feeling guilty as I remembered what I was literally just telling the girls.

"Y/N, what happened? Why do you look all blushy?" George asked, walking over to me and pointing out my rosy cheeks.

"N-nothing," I lied, I really didn't want to bring up the whole Cedric thing in front of Fred.

"No, no. You're hiding something, I can tell. Out with it," George took the seat next to me on the couch.

"Cedric Diggory asked Y/N out on a date!" Ginny blurted out, her hand flying over her mouth as soon as the words left her mouth. Mine and Hermione's eyes widened as I felt my face get even redder.

     "Ginny!" Hermione smacked her arm.

"Diggory asked you on a date?" George asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Well, sort of. He just said that if I was interested that we should go get a butterbeer or something during one of the Hogsmeade trips," I muttered, now avoiding all eye contact with Fred.

"And what did you say?" Fred asked, his face cold and his arms crossed.

"I didn't really give him an answer but he said that when I had one to let him know," I muttered again, still avoiding eye contact.

"Well, do you want to go?" George asked, his eyes moving between me and Fred.

"I-I don't know. I'd never even talked to him until today. You lot know him better than I do," I exclaimed.

"Yeah, but not that well," Ginny shrugged, "Our fathers are friends but that's really all."

"What do you think she should do, Fred? Should Y/N go out with the strapping Cedric Diggory?" George raised a vexatious eyebrow at his brother. Fred just rolled his eyes and scoffed before storming out of the Common Room.

I didn't hesitate to strike George with a pillow, "Why would you do that?!"

"First of all, OW!" George rubbed the back of his head, "And I did it so you could see how he reacted. Y/N, isn't it even more obvious? Fred likes you!"

"Well not anymore! Now he thinks I'm gonna go out with Cedric Diggory!" I scolded him, "Your master plan work as you thought?!"

George had a look of embarrassment on his face, "I-I'll go after him," George then darted after Fred.

I let out a heavy sigh, "I-I'm going to bed. That's enough excitement for me. Good night you two," I waved to the girls before going upstairs.

*FRED'S POV*

Cedric Bloody Diggory! What the hell did she see in him? I banged my fists against the wall, cursing under my breath.

"Fred! Wait up!" I heard George calling after me.

I scoffed at him, "What the bloody hell do you want?"

"Come on, Freddie, I was only having a bit of fun. You know I don't want Y/N and Diggory together."

"Well you're her best friend and now she's got your seal of approval to move right along with him!"

"Fred, she doesn't want to go out with him! She wants to go out with you, you idiot!"

"No, she doesn't! Why can't you get it through that thick skull of yours?! Y/N doesn't want to be with me!"

"You're only saying that cause you're scared."

"Oh yeah and what am I scared of?"

"Losing her. I know you are and trust me when I say you will if you don't act fast."

I swallowed hard, "She doesn't want to be with me. Now drop it, George."

     "But Fred-"

"I said drop it!" George took a few steps back as I yelled.

"Fine, but you can't blame this on me."

     "Piss off," I sneered.

George scoffed, shaking his head, "You're the one who's got the thick skull, not me, mate."

I was about to hit him or push him or something but I just shook my head and went back to the Common Room. Not saying a word to anyone as I stomped up to bed. Again, cursing myself as I fell asleep, realizing just how badly I fucked up.

*Sorry for the short chapter guys, this is kind of just an eventful filler before the Triwizard Tournament actually begins. So trust me when I say there's a whole lot of drama on the way! Happy reading!* -patheticdarling :)
