*Y/N's POV*

Fred and I were officially engaged, well, we'd been engaged since the Battle of Hogwarts but I suppose the ring sealed the deal. I felt like I was on Cloud 9 constantly, our family and friends offered nothing but love and support, well most of our family anyway. I still hadn't told my side of the family about the engagement. I honestly hadn't seen any of them since my Uncle Lucius's and Draco's trial. Thanks to my Aunt Narcissa lying to the Dark Lord, Harry got them off with nothing more than a slap on the wrist. But that didn't really mean that we were all on good terms, I suppose.

"So, you're just not going to tell them?" Hermione asked as I helped her repack her bags. She and Ginny had decided that they were going back to Hogwarts; Hermione to complete her N.E.W.Ts and Ginny to finish her last year of schooling.

"Why would I? Hermione, do you honestly think they'll be anything but furious about our engagement?" I explained.

"I don't know," Hermione shrugged, "Your aunt seems like she'd be more understanding now, considering all that's happened. Maybe even Draco too."

"Hermione it's been months since the trials and they haven't sent me a single letter," I rebutted, "And believe me, they can hold a grudge."

She sighed, "I still think it's worth a try. Besides, the worst that can happen is they say no and miss out on a beautiful ceremony."

I shrugged, "I don't know. I need to think about it."

"Well, considering the last wedding we all attended, yours is definitely something to look forward to," she grinned.

"Least we won't have to worry about Death Eaters crashing this one," Ginny quipped as she entered the room.

"If Hermione gets her way, I wouldn't be so sure about that," I huffed, causing her to roll her eyes at my teasing.

"Are they technically still Death Eaters if Voldemort is dead?" Ginny asked as she folded the last of her robes.

Hermione and I both shrugged, "Guess not, the Dark Mark was rumored to darken whenever he was gaining power. Suppose it's faded now that he's gone," Hermione explained.

"Doesn't mean that hatred did too," I added.

"Oh, Y/N, don't be so negative," Hermione sighed, "It's your bloody wedding were talking about after all.'

"I don't blame her, Hermione. Harry saved her family's ass and they haven't said a word to her about it?" Ginny scoffed.

"Technically her aunt saved Harry's ass too," Hermione added.

"It doesn't matter," I interjected, "They won't come even if I sent them a formal invitation with a bloody bouquet of flowers."

"Don't knock it till you try it," Hermione quipped.

I shook my head, "You two packed and ready to go?" I asked, quickly changing the subject. Both of them closed their trunks as we headed downstairs.

"Hello, girls, ready to go?" Mrs. Weasley asked. Both Ginny and Hermione nodded before going to give everyone their goodbye hugs.

"Take care, alright?" I suggested as I hugged the both of them, "No more murderous wizards should make for an easy year," we chuckled.

"Keep us updated on the wedding, please. Is it still on for the Christmas holiday?" Hermione asked.

I nodded, "Yeah, so far that's the plan."
