*Y/N's POV*

The shop was unsurprisingly doing extremely well. The twins never failed to have empty shelves by the end of the night. It took some time and loads of convincing, especially my own input, to convince Mr. and, most importantly, Mrs. Weasley to finally come around. They were hesitant, of course, at first but after seeing how happy the twins were and how successful they were actually going to be, their parents couldn't help but be overjoyed for them. However, the shop required a lot of attention and it was a struggle for Fred and George to run it on their own, which is why I decided I'd work there instead of the Ministry. Much to Fred and George's dismay, especially Fred's.

"Y/N, you can't do that. What about your dreams of becoming an Auror?" Fred argued.

"Darling, I can always join the Ministry later on down the line," I tried to reassure him, "Tonks said they'll always be a position open for me if and whenever I want it."

"You should be joining them now," George interjected, "I'm sure they need all the help they can get with everything going on."

"And so do you two," I sighed, "Boys, the Ministry has more than enough capable and more experienced Aurors. And you two are working yourselves to death every bloody day. You need my help, even if you don't want to admit it."

"As much as I hate to admit it, she's right, Freddie," George fessed up, "I mean, we don't get back home till nearly three every night then we have to be back here by almost seven to get ready to open again."

"Then we'll hire some extra hands or have Verity work more hours-"

"That's just wasting money," I interrupted, "Just let me help out, please. It'll give me something to do."

"You could be completing your Auror training," Fred argued.

"I already did. But like I already said, the Ministry has enough Aurors to handle things while I help you guys out here. Tonks, Moody, and even Scrimgeour agree. I bet if I asked your mum, she'd say the same thing, wouldn't she?"

"She's got you there, mate," George teased.

"Oh, shut up," Fred muttered back before letting out a deep sigh, "Fine. You're hired."

I smirked before throwing my arms around his neck, "Thanks, boss."

Fred let out a chuckle before his tone turned serious, "But the moment, the Ministry calls you back, I'll fire you myself."

"Deal," I chuckled before kissing his cheek.

So, I started working at the joke shop, the same hours as the boys, sometimes Fred and I stayed later, so George could get some sleep as well as giving us a bit of alone time, something that became a rare occurrence. Staying at the Burrow was wonderful, which I never doubted, but it did put a damper on our sex life. We were constantly surrounded by family or friends, which again isn't a bad thing, but it never gave us time to ourselves. And those rare moments we did get, Fred tried to keep them as innocent as possible out of fear that one of his family members could barge in at any moment. But I wouldn't have it another way. The Weasleys made me feel a genuine happiness that the Malfoys could simply never give me, my Aunt Narcissa tried but we didn't always see eye-to-eye. It had actually been a while since I had heard from them, no letters, no packages, nothing. Not that that was too surprising, I didn't expect to hear from them, especially after my Uncle Lucius was sentenced to life in Azkaban. I bet my aunt blamed my friends and me for it, it certainly didn't seem unlikely. Unfortunately, there was no word on my mother, she was still wanted, of course, but there was no idea as to where she was, feeling my aunt had a play in that. Still, it was oddly quiet considering all that happened.
