" What if She? Maybe? Wait what if?" Alex said choking on his tears.
"Alex it's fine it's gonna be fine," Luke said.
"No, it won't," Alex said tearfully.
Luke brought Alex to a hug.
"She has brain cancer," The doctor said.
"No! she can't," Alex said sobbing into Luke's shoulder.
"It's gonna be fine," Luke said.
" Can we visit her," Alex asked.
"Sure but 5 minutes, we're taking her for chemo," The doctor said,
"Hey hotdog and doofus," Avery said chuckling.
"How are u not scared about this- Alex is having a meltdown and he doesn't even have cancer," Luke said.
"I'm kinda a pessimist so I don't expect good things to come," Avery said.
" Oh," Luke said.
" yea so Alex u hanging in there or do u want a hug," Avery said then laughed a little.
" Haha Very funny," Alex said,
" Can u get me my bag?" Avery asked.
She pointed to the bag on the chair.
"Thanks, hotdog," She said.
"Why do u call him hotdog?" Luke asked.
"Childhood nickname, he hated hotdogs but when he had one he got sick," Avery said.
" Oh cool," Luke said.
"Not cool! I almost died because of the damn hotdogs!" Alex said.
" Um Alex can I talk to u privately," Avery asked.
'Sure anything luke go wait outside," Alex said.
" I love u so much u are the best brother ever, whatever happens even if I go to heaven or um down there I will be your guarding angel, and on your way out can u pass me the remote," Avery said.
"I love u too and sure whatever for u Ari," Alex said.
Avery started crying he hadn't called me that in 8 years.
Alex passed the remote to Avery she put on the Brady Bunch.
She started writing a song.
