Part 48- Miss understanding.

Zoe’s POV.

“What the hell?!” I yelled as I entered the bathroom.

“Zoe. I swear it’s not what it looks like.”

“Oh yeah. So. It looks like you’ve been cheating on Ella, so what really is the truth.”

“I came in here to go to the bathroom, and Ella was in here, and I didn’t realise. She dragged me in here and started kissing me.”

“Oh Alfie. You sure you didn't come in here to kiss HER.”

“Zoe. I asked you to marry me, and we are having a kid together. Do you really think? God. I trusted you.”

“Oh so now your making me feel bad. Alfie. I don’t. I don’t. We’re done. Have fun in your.. what ever you call: LIFE!”

“Zoe! Come on! Wait… LITTLE ONE!” Alfie chased after me as I began to run downstairs.

“Wait babe. Zoe! ZOE!” I grabbed her phone and headed outside. Alfie ran out in MY pyjamas and no shoes. He tried to catch up, but didn't. I ran and ran, then private messaged a girl who I met at the meetup yesterday, and asked if I could come for a few hours.

Alfie's POV.

After about an hour, I was still sitting on the couch with my phone, Joe’s and their dad’s phone. I waited and waited for her to call either one of the phones. Once Joe came down stairs he realised Zoe wasn’t here.

“Where’s Zoe?”

“She… She left me.”

“What the hell? What did you do you dick?”

“You mean. What did Ella do!”

“I don’t understand. What happened?”

“I went into the bathroom this morning not knowing Ella was in there, and when I saw her changing I apologised and waited outside of the bathroom for her to finish. She opened the door and grabbed my arm and pulled me in. She started kissing me Joe. She wouldn't let me go, so I had to push her away; hard, and then I ran out but Zoe saw. God Joe. Don’t be mad at me.”

“Ella wouldn’t do that.”

“Well. She did.”

“ELLA!!!!???” Joe called. As he finished yelling, Ella came running down the stairs in a dress, as if she was going out.

“Yeah babe?”

“Alfie said you kissed him this morning.”

“WHAT THE HELL? What sort of joke is that Alfie?”

“Ella? Are you kidding. You kissed me in the bathroom. This morning.”

“Did I?”

“DO YOU WANT TO GO TO COURT ELLA. I SWEAR.”

“Alright. I did. But only because I didn’t have my contacts in, or my glasses in… I thought it was Joe.”

“But you heard my voice.”

“She can’t hear that well in the morning Alf. Her parents were deaf when she was born, which causes her to only hear properly 22 hours a day. She usually can’t hear properly in the morning.”

“Oh thank god. I’m so sorry Ella. I didn’t know.”

“No worries. Where’s Zoe? I was going to take her out for lunch with my friends.”

“She’s ran off because she thought I was kissing you. Can you find her and tell her the story?”

“Anything for you.”

“Ella?! Are you cheating on me?”

“No Joe. I’ll do anything for someone that is partly related to my one and only love.”

“Aww staph. You make me blush Ell.”

“Right I’ll be off. Message me if you hear from her, and i’ll call you straight away if I find her. Love you Joe, by Alf.”

“Bye!” We said in sync. We waited for hours for Zoe to call, and finally she called Joe… typical.

“Can I answer Joe?”

“Of course.” I pressed answer and Zoe spoke.

*call*

“Hello? Joe?!”

“Zo. It’s me.”

“I don’t want to talk to you. Where’s Joe?”

“Why not?”

“Alfie. I want to speak to Joe.”

“Fine.”

*passes phone to Joe.*

“Ello?”

“Joe. I’m at viewers house. Can you come pick me up? I don't know my way back.”

“Yeah, but I can’t drive. I don’t have my license yet.”

“What about dad?”

“He was drinking last night. Alfie can though.”

“God. Fine.”

“Zoe. Why arent you talking to him?”

“HE KISSED ANOTHER BLIMMING GIRL!”

“You think he’d do that? After proposing, almost having a baby, and treating you like he does to nobody else?! People do things for you Zoe, and you turn them down.”

“Joe. He kissed her. He was in the bathroom with her… Naked.”

“Zoe. You haven’t heard the story. Maybe if you’d have listened to him, you’d realise you didn't need to run away.”

“Oh god. He didn’t actually kiss her?”

“No Zoe.”

Joe hung up, and let out a sigh. We hopped in the car, and drove to the girls house. We picked up Zoe, and dropped her off at Starbucks where Ella was waiting for her.
