More than friends.

Part 71- Walking.

Alfie's POV.

Today we are trying to get Sam to master walking. She can walk holding our hand, which is good. But we need her to do it on her own. I've set up my camera on a trip pod to capture the moment. As Sam's recently turned 1, that's when they usually try to walk and speak. Speaking isn't as important at the moment, but oh well.

"Come to mummy!" Zoe whispers about 6 feet away from me, opening her arms to catch her if she falls. She walks about 1 foot, and falls but crawls to her.

"Good try Sammy! Now, come to daddy!" I squeal as Zoe helps her stand up. She walks one step, two steps, 3 steps, 4 steps and down on the floor.

"So close! Zoe, she's walking." I say and begin to cry.

"Alfieee don't cry! You'll make me cry, and you cant be crying in the video. Man up aha!"

"I'm just being a proud dad!"

"I know you are. And I like sexy dads."

"I like sexy mums."

"Dada!" Sam interrupts walking into my arms.

"OH MY GOSH! ZOE! SHE DID IT!" I shout. "Do it again!" She walks over to Zoe, slowly obviously, and she hugs Zoe.

"ALFIE! WE DID IT, SHE DID IT! OUR BABY GIRL CAN WALK!" She screams as she runs over to me and almost topples me over. We sit there. Zoe in my arms, crying happily, and pang of proudness punches my heart. Our baby girl can walk. For another hour, she walks back and forth to us until we let her walk around the whole garden. It's best to start in the garden, because she can fall on the grass and it wont hurt as much as the wooden floors.

We eventually bring her in when it starts to get cold, and let her walk around the sitting room. She wont stop.

Short chapter because the last was super long! Yay she can walk! I think after your one is a normal age to walk, not sure. Let me know in the comments if that is abnormal ahah! The wedding is soon, so the next few chapters will be wedding related or something like that. Lysm xx
