Zoe’s POV.
Once we got back to the room, I headed into the bathroom, and locked the door. I opened the package, and read the instructions.. even though it’s pretty self explanatory: You pee on a stick. So that’s what I did. I unlocked the door, whilst holding it in my other hand. I then walked over to Alfie, and lay down on the bed with him, and faced the stick down so we couldn't see the answer.
Once 3 minutes had past, I asked alfie: “Are we ready?” He nodded. I held the stick, and turned it round, answer facing us…
Positive.
I felt tears forming in my eyes, and I looked up at Alfie, tears too. We pulled each other in for a hug, and started to burst out with tears. They were happy tears.
“Well. Looks like I’m gonna be a dad earlier than expected. But that’s fine with me because it’s with the woman I love.”
“Aww Alfie. I’m glad your going to stick with me.” I took a picture of the + sign, and saved it to my phone.
“Here’s the deal Zo. Since it’s our baby we get to decide on things together. My idea is, we tell family after we’ve had our first scan, tell friends when we feel its right, and fans.. well lets save that for last.”
“I agree. But one thing. We need to take a picture hinting that we are pregnant.. well me. So lets put the plus sign between us, then a picture of a baby after you. (Zoe +(pregnancy stick +) Alfie = Baby picture) This means, when the time is okay for everyone to know, we send this to people.”
“That’s awesome. But the thing that isn’t is we have to go out to dinner with Tan and Jim. So act normal, and if the question pops up about babies, we’ll tell them.”
“Sounds great.”
