More than friends.

Part 52- Baby Shower.

Alfie’s POV.

I woke up to the sound of ladies chatting away; Tanya, Louise, and Zoe. They were squealing, and moving about. Oh yeah, today was the baby shower. I quickly got out of bed, showered, and put on some nice clothes.

“Morning Ladies.” I said with glee.

“Morning gorgeous.” Zoe replied. She pulled me in and gave me a powerful kiss on the lips. She then let go, and headed back over to the girls and continued to set up. I began to blow up some balloons. We had gone for both pink and blue balloons for the party. We said on the invitation that the gender was unspecified. They still don't know we are having twins, and we only know that one of the twins will be a boy. So the pink and blue were evenly divided. Louise was in the kitchen making the food, Tanya was hanging banters, and the balloons I blew up, and Zoe was decorating the sitting room.

Once it was 11 o’clock Ella and Joe arrived.

“ELLA! JOE!!” Zoe yelled as she ran over to the door. I slowly walked over to the door to join the hug. Zoe was being different around Ella. She was patting her stomach, and giggling and more. She seemed to like her more than last time. Tan and Louise met Ella, and they all got a long. After a few hours or talking, it was 1 o’clock. Everyone would be arriving soon, so Zoe went to get changed. Once she came out she was wearing a lose knee length dress that had a mix of baby pink, and blue with white polka dots on it. She had a subtle makeup look, and a nude lipgloss. She usually goes for a lipstick instead of gloss, and when it’s gloss… it’s dark. She’s either preparing to be a mum, or just wanted to be casual. I walked over to her, and picked her up. I spun her around, and then put her down. I topped it off with a kiss, and to finish the door bell rang. Zoe skipped over to the door and squealed once it was open.

“AGHH!!! YOU MADE IT!” She hugged unfamiliar people, and then waited at the door for more people. The unfamiliar people sat down, and talked with each other. Eventually Poppy, my mum, Zoe’s mum, Zoe’s dad, and more you tubers  arrived. The rest of Zoe and I’s friends arrived, and finally Tyler woke up and apologised for his jet lag.

Zoe’s POV.

“Since everyone is here, I just want to thank you for being so supportive through these past 7-8 months. It has been hard, but I just want to thank Alfie especially. Alfie you’ve helped me so much, and stuck with me. If it weren’t for youtube, I wouldn't be standing here right now, with this belly. I also want to apologise for lying to you. Because… Last month Alfie and I found out I’m actually having twins! One of them is a boy, and we’re not sure about the other one! We’re both so excited, so let’s start the activates!” Everyone clapped, and went onto  the activities. There were activities like changing nappies, changing clothes of baby dolls, and the other activity… eating. Once that was done, we sat down in a circle and I opened my presents they gave me. I opened my mum’s present first. It was 2 gift cards, one for me, one for the babies. My dad’s was a big crib. He didn’t know I was having 2 babies, but it would fit 2 anyway. I opened Alfie’s mums; it was 3 outfits. One for formal, one for sleeping, and one for every day. Poppy’s was a big pack of nappies, and baby toys. My friends from school when I was young was a 1 year daycare for when they were 3 years old. I wasn’t sure i’d use it, but it was nice of them. Jonathan and Anna’s was a bouncy chair thing. Tyler got me a bunch of American baby food, and Louise and Tanya gave me one present combined.

“Okay.” Tanya began. “Since you’ve come to our baby shower’s, and given us pretty much the same thing. We decided to do it too. So open up.” She continued. “Hope you like it Zoe. And this time it’s for you, Alfie, and the babies.” Louise added.

I opened the envelope, and gasped at the sight of the ticket. It was an all expenses covered trip to disney land. You had 10 years to use it.

“Awww… You two! Thanks so much. And the fact I don’t have to use it immediately! Your the best. But hey, it won’t be fun if you don't come. So you need to come too!” I said.

“We’ll try!” They finished. I opened some more from friends, and family. Then it was Alfie’s present.

“Here you go Zoe. I know it’s our baby, but I still want to give us something… So here you go.” He said whilst handing me the envelope.

“My goodness I’m going to be rich with envelopes after today!” I confirmed. All the ladies giggled. I opened the envelope and read the card first. It read:

‘Zoe. I love you so much. You, well, we deserve this. So attached to this card is a trip to Italy for our honeymoon. Back to the same place you found out you were pregnant. I think it fits because that’s where we found out, so it’s a perfect present. The babies won’t come, my mum will take care of them. I love you so much Little One. I can’t wait until we’re married and we can go there for 2 weeks. Love your gorgeous soon to be husband, and father. x’

“Aww Alfie! Thank you so much. I can’t wait. Look everyone, we’re going back to Italy for our honeymoon!” I screamed as I hugged Alfie. I kissed him, and everyone squealed with ‘Aww’s’.

After a few hours, everyone left so it was just Alfie, Tyler, Ella, Joe, and I. We all agreed to go out for dinner on the beach as it was a sunny night. I changed into a black dress that highlighted my bump, and I changed my makeup to something more fancy. I wore some dangly, sparkly earrings, and both my engagement ring, and the promise ring Alfie gave me when we were best friends.

“Everyone ready?” I asked. Everyone nodded, so we began to walk down to the beach. It was a gorgeous night, so everyone was in a very happy mood. Once we got to the restaurant ,and got seated. We ordered our food, and when it arrived… We obviously ate it.
