I wasn't sure what time it was when I cried myself to sleep. All I knew was that I was still in Adam's bed, half resting on him and half actually on his bed. My head was pounding by the time I fell asleep and I was hoping that it would be gone by the time I woke back up. According to Adam, I had been asleep less than an hour when I woke back up. I don't know why I woke back up, but all I heard was Mrs. Maria telling Adam something about a baseball game. I was still half asleep, so I didn't catch all of it, but I'm sure he was going to explain it to me.
The headache hadn't gone away, but it wasn't as bad when I rolled over onto my back and actually opened my eyes. Adam was still next to me but from what I was hearing, it sounded like he was eating something. I sat up some and looked at him, seeing that he was eating a bag of chips – Nacho Cheese Doritos to be exact.
"Want some?" he offered.
I shook my head and then fell back onto the bed.
"What were you guys talking about?" I asked.
"Oh, my baseball game. Rocky and I are on a baseball team like we usually are during the summer. We had a game that was scheduled tomorrow but it is going to be today instead. Our game is at five. Are you going to come?" Adam asked.
"Well of course. I actually like baseball... and I will actually understand it, unlike that Martial Arts stuff you do." I told him.
"Do you play baseball?" he asked.
"Oh no... I'm terrible at any sport. I just like watching it." I said.
"I doubt you're terrible at it. The only thing so far that I've actually seen you be terrible at, is roller blading." Adam laughed.
"It's about time you admit it!" I started laughing with him.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah..." Adam rolled his eyes, "I need to start getting ready, but I don't exactly want to get up."
"Get up, or I'll push you off the bed." I teased him.
"Why don't you go ahead and try that... bet you can't move me." Adam laughed.
"Hey, I'm stronger than you think! I am a Power Ranger after all... Well, I was." I muttered.
"I bet you food right now that I could push you off this bed before you could me." Adam stiffened as I attempted to reach over and push him off. That boy froze like a solid piece of concrete and I had no clue how he just did that.
"Okay, bet." I agreed. I tried to use all my force to push that boy off the bed but he just was not budging. I even tried using my feet to push him off but the only thing that resulting in was me pushing myself off the bed from trying to push against him.
"See, now you owe me food... and I didn't even have to do anything." Adam laughed as he leaned over the edge of the bed and looked at me lying on the floor.
"Oh, you suck Adam Park – you really suck." I muttered as I crossed my arms over my chest and looked up at him.
"So, what are you buying me for lunch?" Adam asked.
"A big old can of a-" I started to swear but next thing I knew it, Adam slid off the bed and might as well have tackled me as if I were standing up. He didn't hurt me or anything, but I wasn't expecting all of his weight to come down on me at once. It only started to make me laugh as Adam grabbed my hands and then pinned them next to me while laughing himself.
"Are you sure you want to finish that sentence?" Adam asked as he hovered over top of me. He had his legs on either side of me, but he wasn't sitting on me. He used his knees to prop himself up as he continued pinning my arms down while we laughed.
