Hybrids, mates, and love- Klaroline

Chap 16

Klaus' POV

I get onto one knee and the cat's out of the bag. I know that our love has been moving so fast but I think it's fine because it all feels so right. 

"Caroline Forbes, ever since the day I met you about two years ago I already knew I was going to love you. You were the only weakness I ever had being the original hybrid and I was scared of that." I start 

"Ever since we were told about us being mates I subconsciously already knew that we were meant to be. I was so nervous for our child's arrival  when I was told, thinking I would end up like Mikael but you have always assured me otherwise and I am confident that we will do this together as great parents." I say continuing "

You have been so wonderful to my family and put up will all of their nonsense. You have become part of my family and I want to make it official. I love you. Just say yes Love, and I will give you and our child forever as our own family." I say pouring my heart into every word

She looks at me nervously and I can feel love through the bond but also hesitation 

"It's all right if you say no love, if this is moving too fast just tell me. We can still wait." I say and her features soften as she leans in and kisses my cheek

"Yes Nik, of course I want to marry you.. but do you think we can wait to do it after the baby is born I don't want to get married with a big belly." She chuckles and I can't help but feel disappointed

"What's wrong? I was just joking I'm sure Rebekah can find me a good dress that will still fit.. I know this is important to you and I don't want to wait because of my silly stomach. I'm fine either way." She says soothingly 

 I feel a little better but not really I need to get something off my chest

just tell her, she'll understand 

"I won't have this child born a bastard like me." I say and my sibling's and Caroline's faces fall

"Oh god Wolfy... I would never intentionally do that to you I'm sorry I shouldn't have said that." She says sadly 

"No Caroline  this is not your fault..  I'm sorry for having this talk now because I simply need a yes or no." I smile adding on "If you say yes then I'll let you buy as many more baby onesies as you want with Rebekah and you can even turn my extra art room into the nursery after not the drab guest room." 

She perks up immediately looking at Rebekah who giggles and I laugh too "Then yes Nik no more sad talk I want to be a Mikelason!!!" 

I slip the ring on her finger and we kiss passionately

As soon as we pull apart Kol fake gags and we all laugh

 "Bleh that was too much Drama for my taste sister but on a serious note I'm glad your going to be part of the family officially." He says and she runs and hugs him quick giggling

She pulls back and drags me in to hug him too

"Come her big brother." We share a short embrace and smile looking over my shoulder to see Rebekah and Caroline already gossiping about their planning while exchanging hugs 

"I'm proud of you Niklaus." Elijah says with a smirk and Caroline goes to hug him also 

I laugh at how awkward he is but he soon returns the embrace.

Kol and Rebekah laugh and join too forming a group hug between my siblings and Caroline as they all hold each other tight.

 I growl playfully breaking the hug and scooping Caroline up in my arms to hold her as she nuzzles her face into my neck and I grumble "Mine." 

She looks up at me and smiles before replying "I'm all yours Wolfy." before petting my curls and visibly relax basically purring at her touch. 

"Nik, Caroline's got you whipped!" Kol screams loudly and I snarl at him with my fangs exposed before putting them away to hold Caroline possessively

"Wolfy it's ok, Kol is telling the truth I do have you whipped." She smiles innocently and I can't help but stop fuming and sigh 

"It's true Love you are my weakness and I can never stay mad at your adorable smile."    

"Ok enough of the sappy stuff let's get home and celebrate!" Rebekah hollers "Let's throw an engagement party!"

A/N Sorry this is short but here ya go! Klaroline is getting hitched YAY! but don't worry the story will not end there or at the babies birth I still am planning on stretching this story out for longer so stay reading! thanks for reading and don't forget to vote, comment, and share!
