Chapter 10

Our class just finished and we are now in the cafeteria to eat lunch. I was in deep thought that I didn't even realize that I was just staring into my food.

"Hey! Stop staring at your food and tell me what happened" said Seonji as she eats her food. I explained to her what happened earlier.

"What?! Is he nuts?! Why would he hate you?! and also, you! Why did you say you don't wanna stop?" I flinched at the sudden loudness of her voice.

"Keep your voice down! I just said what I feel...is that not allowed?"

"You know sometimes you can't just always follow your heart, you should use your brain too, think if it will hurt you or not. Did you think about what he'll feel? You should consider what others will feel too. Will you be happy if you know that he's uncomfortable despite everything that you're doing? Are you a kindergarten? You should know these things by now." Seonji said as she sighs. She has a point. I was so focused on my feelings without considering his. I didn't even bother to answer her so I just went to eat my food.

I went home early today, thanks to Mr.Kim. I changed into my comfy clothes and went to my brother's room. I knocked at his door before I enter.

"Who is it?"

"It's me! Your sister!"

"Come inside!" I entered his room and sat on his bed. He looked at me with a confused expression.

"What do you need?" he asked. I didn't answer but I went to hug him instead. He is clearly startled but he hugged me back.

"What's wrong?" he asked, this time with a worried tone of voice.

"I think I got dumped...he told me I'm annoying"

"Who told you that? I'm the only one who can call you that!" he said. I broke the hug and hit his chest.

"Ow! I'm just kidding!" he said as he rubs the part of his chest that I hit.

"I should've not come here," I said as I stand so I can leave but my brother stopped me.

"Who is it? The one that you told me last time?" he asked. I told him about my feelings for Hyungwon seonbae but I never told him the name because I know he'll use him against me.

"Yes.."

"What's his name?" he said while looking at me, waiting for an answer.

"I don't want to tell you! You'll get mad at him..."

"Well of course! How dare he hurt my little sister?! How can I protect you if you don't tell me his name?!" He's overreacting again.

"You don't need to hurt him or anything to protect me, what I want is a brother who is nice enough to comfort me and give me warm hugs when I need it" I said. My brother looked at me and engulfed me in a hug.

"Okay, I'll be that brother" I went to hug him tighter.

"You are already that brother... but thank you oppa"

After an hour of talking about random stuff with my brother, I went back to my room and sleep.

I woke up a bit late today so I hurriedly went to do my morning routine. I ran to the car without even eating breakfast.

"Yebin-ah! You should eat breakfast first!" My mom shouted.

"I'm already late!" I said while I enter the car. The whole ride is nice and fun since Mr.Kim played my favourite songs, we both bang our heads and enjoyed the music that I almost forgot that I'm almost late. I hurriedly run to my class after Ahjussi stopped the car. I enter the classroom and took a seat beside Seonji.

"You okay? Why are you panting?"She asked. I catch my breath before answering.

"I woke up late, now that I think of it I haven't even prepared breakfast for Hyungwon seonbae! Tsk!" I look around to search for Hyungwon seonbae. I saw him sitting at the corner, resting his chin on his hands while his eyes are closed.

He probably didn't have breakfast. I should've woken up earlier.

"You're still thinking about him?! Yebin-ah!" said Seonji with her arms closed. She was about to say something when our professor arrived.

"Let's talk later" she continued.
