''Oh, my goodness, I'm late!" As I slipped on my boots, I said. I was about to leave when I returned to my room to put on the earring that Hyungwon seonbae had given me. In the mirror, I took one last look at myself. As the earring catches my attention, I touch it.
I will wear this everyday
I checked my watch and realized I was running late this time. I dashed out of the home and hailed a taxi because I had missed the last bus to campus. I arrived at the university after a 45 minute ride. I sneaked into our class and was lucky that my professor didn't notice. Looking to the side, I noticed Seonji staring at me. I sighed and returned to our professor's lecture. Right after our lesson concluded, Seonji approached me.
"What are you late? It's not just late! You missed the first class!" She said.
"I know I know, I'm sorry... I overslept" She looked at me in disappointment.
"You overslept? That's new.. as far as I know, you are a light sleeper. Don't tell me you forgot to set your timer?!"
"No! I don't do anything with my timer. I'm also not sure why I overslept; I was just so delighted yesterday that I had so much sleep." Seonji looked at me as if I'd said something weird.
"Hmm I know it's not because of the high-end brand gifts that you received. Tell me, what's the reason why you're extra happy yesterday?" Seonji asked with her arms crossed, waiting for an answer.
"Well..." I said while trying to contain my smile.
"Ugh don't keep on stalling time and tell me already!" Seonji impatiently said.
"Hyungwon seonbae greeted me a Happy Birthday yesterday... he even gave me this" I said while touching my earrings.
"What? He gave you an ear? Why- ahh earrings.. wait- what? He greeted you and even gave you a gift?!" She said with her hands covering her mouth, shocked on what I've said.
"Yes, I also can't believe it!!"
"OMG! Wait- don't you think that he likes you? Maybe this time it's for sure!"
"Hey, I thought you are the one who told me to stop being delusional."
"I know but look at the green signs that he's giving you. This might be a sign, Yebin, what if you shoot your shot this time and confess? It might turn out good or bad but this chance might help you. If it didn't turn out well then I'm here for you. I just think that officially confessing might be better than taking time and just wondering whether you have a chance or not"
"You really think so?" I asked. She looked at me for a while before nodding.

"Yebin, come sit with us! Bring your friend too" Minhyuk seonbae said while waving at us from his lunch table.
"Can we?" I asked,looking at Hyungwon seonbae for permission. He looked left and right, making sure that he's the one I'm talking to before nodding.
"Should we go?" I asked Seonji. She shrugged her shoulder and went to sit at their table. I followed Seonji and sat beside her.
"Belated Happy Birthday!" Minhyuk seonbae said.
"Thank you!"
"It's your birthday?" Wonho seonbae asked with his eyes wide open. His cute expression made me smile.
"It's yesterday... my birthday" I said. He welcomed me with a sweet smile and wished me a happy birthday. The others, too, grinned and wished me a happy birthday. I'm grateful to Hyunwoo seonbae for giving me his strawberry milk. I was taken aback when an unexpected person spoke to me while I was eating comfortably.
"By the way, did you eat seaweed soup yesterday? I forgot to ask you to eat it with me" Hyungwon seonbae said.
"Oh I-I ate it with my family" I said with a smile.
Who allowed him to make my heart flutter?
I looked over to my side and saw Seonji smiling weirdly at me.
"What?" I whispered at her. I looked over to the guys teasing and hitting Hyungwon seonbae before looking back at Seonji.
"Another green light" Seonji whispered back.

Seaweed soup is eaten every birthday in Korea and it became a tradition. For those who are wondering because there is a part where I mentioned it. I also smiled at some part that I wrote HAHAHSHAH anyways I hope you like it ;)
