"So you mean that you are not dating, you found a place to stay and it turned out that it's his apartment?" My brother asked, confirming the things I said after I explained everything. I nodded my head.
"Move out" he continued. I look over to him, not expecting him to say that.
"Why?"
"What do you mean 'why?' You are living with a guy! It's not okay in every way especially when you're not dating!"
"Tell me why it's not okay" he sighed loudly as he sat on my chair near the bed.
"He's a grown man! What if he do something to you?!"

"You're overreacting! He won't even look at me!" He sighed for the nth time and went over to me, holding my shoulder.
"I'm just worried" he said in a sweet tone, a sign that he calmed down.
I know he's worried for me as a brother but there really isn't anything to be worried about, I gave him a reassuring smile and engulfed him in a hug.
"You have nothing to be worried about. I can protect myself and didn't I promise that I'll move out if living alone gets hard or something happens? I promise, I'll be fine"
"Okay" he said as he tightened the hug.

"Is your brother gone?" Hyungwon seonbae ask while he enter the kitchen while I'm making some snacks for myself.
"Yes, he went home a while ago" As I slathered peanut butter and strawberry jam on the bread, I said. I offered Hyungwon seonbae a sandwich, which he accepted for the first time.
The place was filled with awkward silence while we eat until Hyungwon seonbae break the silence.
"I heard that it's your birthday today..." He said while munching on the sandwich, not giving me a glance.
He knows it's my birthday?? OMG! That alone made me happy!
"Y-yes it is!" I said while containing my smile.
"Happy birthday" he said as he took a last bite of his sandwich. My eyes widened when I heard him. I pinch my arm to make sure that I'm not dreaming.
Did he really?! Can this birthday get any better?
"Thank you" I said it with a grin that reached my ears. He was reaching into his pocket for something I'm not sure what it was. He seemed to be debating whether or not to bring it out.
"Is there something wrong, seonbae?" With a grin that reached my ears, I uttered it. He was reaching for something in his pocket, but I'm not sure what it was. He appeared to be contemplating whether or not to reveal it.

"Isn't this the Roseha X Kirsh earrings?! OMG it is!! I really wanted to buy this but I don't have time to go shopping these days! Thank you seonbae! It really is a good gift! I love it!"

"I had no idea. I was out shopping earlier with Minhyuk, and he kept reminding me of your birthday. I noticed it and thought it was lovely, so why don't I give it to you as a present? It's also a token of my apology for how I treated you previously."
