I was in my room, reading when I heard the door shut.
I guess he's back, did he eat already? Ugh I think the fridge is empty.
I stopped bothering him but that doesn't mean I don't care or like him anymore. Strangely, my feeling didn't even change at all even after the lack of communication with him and also even after those things he said that is not really nice. I still wanna take care of him if it's possible . I always make sure that the house is clean so he don't need to clean it anymore. I also make sure that there is enough food in the fridge. Even through these little things, I just hope I can help. I am engrossed in reading when a knock on my door is heard.
"Uhm can we talk?" Hyungwon seonbae asked from the opposite side.
"Sure, wait a minute" I closed my book and went out. I spotted Hyungwon seonbae sitting on the couch. I sat on the floor as if it's already a given rule. Well maybe it is, he'll probably give me a death glare if I sit beside him just like last time. I look at him, expecting him to say anything, but all he does is stare at me.
"Seonbae, didn't you say that we need to talk?"
"Oh-h right! A-aren't you uncomfortable sitting on the floor? You can sit beside me" he said as he pat the empty seat beside him. Is he okay? Why would he suddenly ask me to sit beside him?
"No No it's fine! I'm comfortable here"
"uhm okay, I'll make it quick"
"Okay sure"
Hyungwon's POV
Is saying sorry really this hard? I mean I always I always apologize if I do something wrong but what is wrong with me today? My palm are really sweaty. Hyungwon, let's pull ourselves together! I can do this!
Yebin's POV
"... I'm sorry.." he mumbled. I heard it but I'm not sure if I heard right so I asked him.
"pardon?" He rubbed the back of his neck before speaking.
"I said I'm sorry" Sorry?For what? But seriously, is he okay? What is happening?
"For what? Seonbae, are you perhaps... sick?" He looked at me, his face flushed with confusion.
"No! I'm healthy"
"Then what?"
"I just wanted to say sorry for being rude to you" he said. I looked at his eyes and I think he's telling the truth. But why? All of a sudden?
"Why? All of a sudden?"
"I just realized that you didn't do anything bad to me, you are actually nice but all I do is act like an asshole... sorry" he said while looking at me the floor, avoiding eye contact.
"It's fine, I understand why you acted like that. I bothered you a lot, even I myself realized that I'm annoying."
"Well you aren't wrong" I just looked at him. It took a few seconds till he realized what he said. He slapped his mouth as a warning to himself that he's here to make peace.
"I'm sorry about that" I said.
"No it's fine it's actually nice that you care just don't go overboard"
"yeah sure" It became silent for a while.
"I'm just making it clear" I looked at him.
"This doesn't mean that I like you or what okay?" he said.
"Of course, I know"
"Okay, so... friends?" he asked me to be his friend? That alone made my heart flutter, at least he doesn't hate me now!
"Yeah, friends!" He held his hand for me to shake, I was so excited that I vigorously shook his hands. He drew his hands away and gave me a strange expression.
"Don't make me regret this" he said.
"Sorry~" He stood up from the couch and was about to go to his room but he stopped and faced me.
"I have a question"
"What is it, seonbae?"
"I just notice that...you don't cook anymore"
"Oh that, well I only make food for me these days. You don't eat what I prepare so... it's a waste"
"Okay"
"Do.. you want me to make you food?"
"I'll just tell you if I want one" he said with a faint smile.
"Okay, rest well~" I said as I watch him enter his room before entering mine.
"...you too..." YOU TOO!? Did I heard it right?! OH MY GOSH!! I quickly snatched up a pillow. I squealed once I placed the cushion in front of my face. I'm hoping the pillow made my squeal as quiet as possible. I flopped on my bed and wrapped my arms around my pillow.
