(kind of a shorter chapter but it's going to be really good, I promise.)
Y/N's POV:
"How are your eyes?"
We had been sitting outside the warehouse for about 30 minutes now waiting for the effects of the pepper spray to wear off.
Oopsie.
"I think they're fine now. Let's not do that again shall we?"
"Well don't scare me next time."
"Fair point."
"Ok so, we have a sketchy building with probably some pretty sketchy things going on inside. This window is broken but with the right amount of force, we can lift it up without making any noise. I'm small so I can slip in and then I'll tell you what I see when I get back."
"Oh no you don't. There is no way that you are going in there alone. Come on." He grabbed my hand. "Let's find another way in since you're so insistent upon coming."
I'm glad he didn't try and make me leave. I was not in the mood to be told what I could and couldn't do.
We walked around the building for a few more minutes trying to find a way in but we didn't have much luck. That was until I had an idea.
"Hey."
"Hey back."
I rolled my eyes.
"Ok listen up Spiderboy, I have an idea."
"Oh no."
"Oh shut up. Ok, we've been looking too much on the ground. We need to find another way in."
"And how do you propose we do that?"
I pointed up and smirked.
"Ok, but you can't scream this time."
"Don't worry, I won't."
Peter's POV:
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Well, there goes our cover.
"I thought I told you not to scream."
"I'm sorry, it's just scary. Plus you could drop me at any moment, or a bug could fly into my face, or we could accidentally run into something."
What was that?
"...Or your web stuff could have run out or..."
"Shh."
Something was wrong. It was too quiet.
"Excuse me, don't tell me to shush..."
I put a hand over her mouth so she would stop rambling. "Y/N shut up. Something's not right."
That seemed to finally shut her up.
"What is it?"
"I don't know, this place, it just feels... off."
To your right.
"Y/N DUCK!"
We both ducked as I felt the wind of a bullet brush past the back of my head.
Behind you.
"Get behind that door!" I yelled and basically shoved her behind what looked like the old entrance to the roof.
I could sense the blasters behind me. The only thing was though, they were silent, so it was hard to detect which way they were pointing and when they would fire. I jumped up in the air and saw where the blasts were coming from.
Camouflaged automatic blasters. Cool.
It didn't take me long to disarm all of them. And by disarm, I mean destroy. Once I was certain the threat was gone, I went to go find Y/N.
"Y/N? Hey Y/N where are you? It's safe now you can come out."
"Spiderboy, over here. You have to come see this."
I saw Y/N crouched on the ground looking down through a glass ceiling. She looked worried.
"What is it-"
She had a right to be worried. Through the glass, we saw purple lights, UV maybe, all pointed to the center of the room where a single box lay. Almost like a coffin. And in the coffin, lay a woman.
She kind of looks like-
"Peter?" Y/N asked. She sounded on the verge of tears. "That's my mom."
