Y/N's POV:
Where was he, where was he, where was he?
I had spent a good fifteen minutes looking for Peter, aka Spiderman I was almost completely sure of. He said we would eat lunch together after class, but I went to the lunchroom and he was a no show. I saw Ned in line to get food and ran up to him.
"Hey," I said breathlessly, "Do you know where Peter is?"
"Um... he had to check out. Stomach ache or something."
No, he wouldn't just bail on me like that. He would have told me.
"Oh ok, thanks Ned. See ya."
I heard him calling my name as I ran out of the school but this couldn't wait. I had to talk to Peter.
Peter's POV:
"Web grenade!"
"Oh watch out this next ones gonna hurt."
"Ouch ok even I feel bad about that one."
This was boring. I needed a challenge.
I had to leave school early today, and right before lunch too, because I got wind on my police scanners that there was a robbery a few blocks from the school. These guys were punks. Amateurs at best and not a bit discreet. It was easy enough to take them all out but it took longer than I wanted. I wanted to get back in time for fourth period if only to talk to Y/N.
Ugh I need a better gig than this.
I headed back home not even bothering to make it to fourth only to find the door to my apartment wide open. I crouched low to the ground trying not to make a sound.
Did someone break in? Is Aunt May ok?
I breathed a sigh of relief when I remembered that Aunt May was at work and would be late tonight.
I crept into the apartment, still in my suit only to find everything the way it was this morning. Nothing was broken or thrown on the ground and nothing seemed out of place?
So... did I not get robbed?
I was about to just blame the open door on my forgetfulness of locking it and the wind until I heard a noise come from the back of the apartment, my room. I crept forward careful to stay quiet all while hearing the rustling of papers. To catch the intruder by surprise, I jumped out from behind the door and shot a web out by their hands pinning them to the back wall.
Wait... was that?
"Y/N?"
Y/N's POV:
"Peter?"
It had to be Peter under that mask. There was no one else it could be because why would Spiderman be here if it wasn't?
"Um... no..." Spiderman started. "I'm Spiderman. Who is this Peter you speak of?"
I rolled my eyes.
"Peter, drop the act. I know it's you. Why else would you be here?"
He slumped his shoulders in defeat. He knew I was right.
He started to take the mask that covered his face off and out popped curly brown locks, ones that were all too familiar.
"I guess you caught me huh?" He tried to laugh, but it was strained.
"Yeah, I guess I did."
"So... um, how did you figure it out?"
"Really Peter? Your limp today? Blueprints with spiders on it? Smelling like literal garbage and knowing my name at the party? You ditching me today because you had an "upset stomach?" Do I really need to go on?"
Realization hit him smack in the face.
"I guess I'm not as discrete as I thought I was."
I let out a laugh. "Oh Peter Parker, you are many things, but discrete is most certainly not one of them."
He smirked.
God he was cute.
"Well, since you know my identity now..."
"Yes?"
"Wanna go for a ride?"
"A ride... Peter what do you mea-? AHHHHHHH!"
He grabbed me around the waist and yanked me straight out the window and out into the streets of Queens, or... way way WAY above the streets of Queens.
"PETERRRRRRRRR!"
I hate this I hate this I hate this.
I hate this I hate this I hate this.
We swung around for a few more minutes and only once did I open my eyes and immediately regretted it. I knew I was probably cutting off the circulation to half of Peter's body (which was surprisingly very muscular) with how tight I was holding onto him but I didn't care. I didn't really feel like dying today.
Finally he swung us onto a rooftop some fifty stories high above the busy rush hour filled streets below.
"A little warning next time Spiderboy?" I was half joking and half scolding him.
He laughed, "Sorry Y/N. I didn't know you were such a wuss."
Oh no he didn't.
"Oh you jerk you're gonna get it."
"What are you gonna do to me Y/N? I'm Spiderman, remember? I can do anything."
"Mhm well I don't think your spidey senses can stop you from being ticklish!"
"Wait no no n-"
Too late.
I knew how ticklish he was and immediately went for his ribs.
It took all he had to try and not laugh but I got him eventually and we somehow ended up on the ground tickling each other. It didn't stop until I had him pinned under me with his arms over his head.
"Gotcha Spiderboy."
His mask had come off sometime during the epic tickle battle and all I could see when I looked at him was his big hazel eyes looking right at me filled with an emotion I couldn't quite place.
The moment quickly passed as we both awkwardly stood to our feet, not daring to look at eachother or reminisce on the moment we just shared. There wasn't much time to think about it anyway because off in the distance we heard a loud BOOM>
'"Peter? What was that?"
"Stay here, I'm going to go check it out."
"Wait no, please don't leave me."
"Just stay here you'll be safe I promise, I'll be right back."
"Not so fast," said a new but familiar voice.
We both turned around only for me to get hit by something...something hard. I don't remember what happened after that only that I started to see flashes... flashes that turned into memories. No, not memories. Nightmares.
