Y/N's POV:
Ok, I have a plan.
From what I had gathered from Daphne so far was that dad spent most of his time in whatever lab was upstairs and hardly took his focus away from it. Getting around him would be easy, the she devil, on the other hand, not so much.
She spent all her time above ground except when she came down to give me my food. Little did she know that I had spent the past two weeks collecting anything hard or sharp that she brought down to use in my escape. I wasn't bound to anything, just locked in. The only way to get down here was with a key, a key that Daphne had to have.
So, the plan.
Phase 1: Daphne was going to come down and bring me breakfast. I would eat it like normal but ask for a non-paper cup for lunch.
I really don't care if it's paper or not, but I'd complain that the paper film would get in my mouth and it bothered me.
Phase 2: Dad hated plastic cups, or really just anything plastic in general so she would have to bring me down a glass one. I would ask her to stay and talk to me and get emotional about my dad. Then, she would get close enough that I could bash the glass cup against her head and hopefully knock her out.
Phase 3: I grab the key off of Daphne and run upstairs, slip past my dad and out the door.
Foolproof. Right?
Before I could question my plan, I heard footsteps coming down from the stairs. I glanced at the clock on the wall above me, 8 o'clock. Right on time.
Here we go.
Peter's POV:
Ned, MJ, and I left as early as we could the next day. It was luckily a Saturday, so no school. MJ was the most experienced driver out of all of us so we elected her as the official chauffeur. She hated the idea but she was going to go through with it.
Good thing too because I am a TERRIBLE driver and Ned still had his permit because he refused to take the driver's test even though he was 17.
Going by car was slow, but since I couldn't swing both MJ and Ned four hours to the cabin, it was the best alternative.
The ride was silent, we were all focused on what we were about to do. We had to stay focused, for Y/N's sake. After two hours, Ned finally spoke, breaking the silence.
'So, Peter. After we save Y/N are you finally going to ask her out?"
I choked on my water.
"What?"
"Oh come on Peter we all know you like her. It's obvious." I couldn't see MJ's face but I could feel her smirk.
"I- I don't know what you're talking about..."
"Well, if it's any consolation, she likes you too."
"...I know."
"You do?"
"Yeah, um... we kind of sort of had a... moment before all this."
"AND YOU DIDN'T THINK TO TELL US?!"
"And, Ned, this is exactly why I didn't want to tell you."
For the next hour or so Ned fangirled over my "moment" with Y/N. MJ even piped in and said we weren't the most disgusting couple she's ever seen. That was as good of a compliment as I was going to get from her but I appreciated it nonetheless.
I let them giggle and fantasize over whatever it was me and Y/N were. I didn't even know what we were but I couldn't focus on that right now.
Right now, I had to focus on one thing...
Saving Y/N.
