Chapter VII

Y/n pov

"Here, this will look marvelous on you." She says handing me an outfit, viking clothing. I haven't worn this type of clothes in so long.
"You know, I want to thank you for always being there for him." She smiles.
"But I've been gone for years, what do you mean?" I ask changing.
"That's the thing, when he is sad or upset, he thinks of you for comfort." Valka says.
"Really?" I ask as I wrapped a leather waist belt around me.
"Oh yeah he really cares about you, and for that I thank you for helping him when I was gone." She smiles.
I smiled at her, and I finished putting on the shoes she gave me,
"Oh you look beautiful, here let me fix your hair." She braided some parts of my hair, just tiny sections in some spots.

I looked at myself in the mirror, it's the real me. A tunic dress under a leather waist belt, winter high fuzzy on the inside boots, long fingerless gloves with layered scale bracers, and leather armor on my shoulders.
"There!" She smiles.
Hiccup must have heared her and he came in,
"W-Wow." He says looking at me.
Valka gave me a look,
Like if she was trying to say something.
"Don't drool too much Hiccup." She laughs.
"I- um, Y/n you look amazing! Just like before you left." He blushes.
"Thank you Hiccup." I smiled softly.
"Well let's head downstairs and show the others." Valka says.
We exited the room and we're heading downstairs,
"Thank you for the clothes Mrs. Haddock." I smile.
"Oh don't worry about it, and call me Valka." She smiles.
We got downstairs and Stoick and Gobber we're shocked to see me,
"My my my is that Y/n?" Gobbler jokes.
"You look fantastic! I'm glad Valka got you out that gown." Stock smiles.
Astrid just stood their silent looking mad,
"Your a true Viking, those fancy dresses aren't for you." Gobbler smiles.
"Thank you guys, it feels good to be back in boots." I smiled.
"Well, now that Y/n has met everyone and changed. We're going to go." Hiccup says.
"Where are you going? Could I join you guys?" Astrid asks.
Hiccup looked at me, we still have our telepathy communication.
"Sorry Astrid, we want to still catch up alone, next time." Hiccup says grabbing my arm and we ran out the haul. Before we left I waved bye, and I saw Astrid looking pissed off.

Astrid's pov

Stock, Valka, and Gobber noticed I was mad that Hiccup didn't ask me to come with them.
"Don't worry Astrid, he won't be able to change the marriage." Stoick says.
"You guys see they like eachother right?" I asked mad.
"Well-" Gobber sighs.
"There there Astrid, don't let crazy thoughts enter your mind." Stoick says.
"Honey, I think Astrid has a point." Valka says.
"What do you mean?" Stoick asks.
"He loves her." Valka sighs.
"What? No he doesn't, they're just best friends. But who doesn't love her, she's fun to be around. You'll come to love her too, just like Gobber and I." Stoick says.
Valka stood there unsure of what to say,
"I'm worried about this arrange marriage." Valka whispers to me then walks back upstairs,
Ugh she's ruining everything for me again. Before she even came in here I was trying to convince Stoick to make the wedding sooner. He was listening to my reasoning and falling for it till he completely blew me off when she showed up.

Y/n pov

"That sounds horrible, I'm sorry about Drago." I sigh.
"Eh its okay, toothless saved me again and defended the village. Best of all I got my mom." He smiles.
"Well I'm happy for you." I smile.
"Thanks, well this is my hut." He says stopping in front of a hut and opening the door for me,
"Wow, every big." I smiled.
"Toothless might be in there be careful, he's playful." Hiccup giggles.
As soon as I waked in I saw how nice his hut was,
"Toothless?" Hiccup asks closing the door behind me,
Then an amazing black dragon with green sparkling eyes came running from somewhere downstairs,
"Hey there you are buddy!" Hiccup says as Toothless comes running past me to greet him.
I giggled as Toothless tackled Hiccup and started to lick his face,
"Toothless, your embarrassing me!" Hiccup mumbles.
Toothless then looked at me and picked up Hiccup with his mouth,
"This is Y/n, the girl I told you about." Hiccup says.
Then Toothless playfully licked my face,
"So your the famous guy I've heard so much about?" I laugh, his tounge tickles.
He let me pet him, my heart skipped a beat. I've never touched a dragon before, it was my dream to just be near one when I was a kid.

"Well it's an honor to meet you." I smile as I felt his side of his face.
Toothless continued to let me pet him,
"So you've told him things about me?" I giggle.
"Yeah duh, he's my best friend. He knows all my secrets." Hiccup winks.
"I love his beautiful green eyes." I say looking into his pupils, they got bigger.
"He really like you." Hiccup smiles.
"Well I really like you too." I giggle.
Then we went outside again,
Hiccup got on Toothless back then put his hand out to help me up,
But I stood their hesitating,
"Your not scared are you?" He chuckles.
"Well-" I blush.
"I owe you a ride on a dragon, remember my promise?" He smiles.
"Yeah I remember, I guess you do." I chuckle.
"Come on, I wont ever let you get hurt." He smiles putting his hand out again.
I grabbed his hand and he pulled me up effortlessly to help me get behind him on Toothless,
"Hold on tight." He says, as soon as he said that I wrapped my arms around his chest then we took off,
As we increased up my heart rate was rising, I watched as we got farther and farther up the ground. Without noticing I squeezed Hiccup holding him tighter. Once we got to the ocean I stopped focusing on the ground and the fear of falling, I looked at the sunset. The sparkling water with the sun reflecting it was beautiful. I've never seen anything so stunning.
