Chapter XXXI

Y/n pov

When I looked down I saw blood all over my bed and clothes, the cut was deeper than last time. I ran to my dresser and pulled out my medical supplies. I can't give myself stitches while it's still bleeding crazy, so I used a bandage to wrap my hand and arm tightly. I groaned, the pain is agonizing. After making sure my arm was all covered up, I walked to Hiccup's hut with a chill down my spine. Paranoid looking at every corner, when I got there I knocked on the door. It took him a second to answer the door since it is the middle of the night.
"Y/n? What are you doing here so late?" He asks looking tired. But when he examined my arm he woke up immediately and pulled me inside his hut.
"What happened?" Hiccup asks concerned.
"I-Im not even sure." I say tearing up.
"Come on." He says wrapping an arm around me and taking me to his room.
I sat down on the edge of the bed while he kneeled down beside me looking up at me.
"Tell me exactly what happened." Hiccup says holding my hands.
"I was in bed, and I heard a noise like there was someone else in the room, before I could react someone forcefully covered my mouth slamming me on the bed. While two others held my arms down, and quickly they cut my wrist." I sigh.

Hiccup couldn't believe it,
"I should have been there, all because of that stupid meeting- I would have been there." He says madly.
"Hiccup it's okay, it's not your fault. I just felt scared staying there." I sigh.
"I'm sorry that happened to you, your staying here with me until we can figure out who did that to you." Hiccup says rubbing his thumb on my hand in a comforting way.
"Thank you." I sniffle kinda smiling.
"Of course, now you should get some rest. Are you tired?" He asks.
"Yeah I am." I yawn.
"Come on, your shivering- lay down." Hiccup says standing up and lifting up the blanket. I laid down and got under the blanket. Without saying anything Hiccup brought me another blanket to double up on the warmth.
"Goodnight beautiful." He says giving me a kiss on my forehead after tucking me in,
"Waiting your leaving me alone?" I ask confused.
"Nope, I'll be right here on the floor." Hiccup smiles.
"Do you think you could sleep next to me, I'd feel more- safer." I sigh sitting up.
"Of course, anything for you." He says getting up and laying down besides me.
We faced each other, then he puts an arm around my waist pulling me in for a hug.
"Goodnight, I love you."
"I love you too Hiccup." I smile.
Shortly after I drifted off to sleep. In the back of my head I'm itching of who could have done this to me- I have my suspicions but I don't want to accuse anyone till I have proof.

Hiccup's pov

The next morning..

I woke up extra early to discuss what happened to Y/n with my dad. Without thinking I left her alone at my hut, she's safe there though. When I got to my dads hut I barged in on him asleep,
"Dad wake up!" I yell.
"Hiccup-" He groans.
"I need to talk to you about something important." I say.
"Nothings important this early in the morning." My dad yawns turning over in bed.
"It's about Y/n-" I sigh.
He immediately pops up,
"What? Is she okay?" He asks.
"Last night in her hut she was attacked by three individuals, the most injuries she got was a cut on her wrist. Y/n is staying with me until this is all figured out and handled." I say seriously as my dad stood up.
"Who would do such a thing?" My dad asks shocked.
"I have an idea-" I say.
"Astrid." We say at the same time.
"It makes sense, we killed her father." I sigh.
"But the possibility of that is slim, she's disappeared- nobody knows where she has gone." He sighs.
"Who else could it be?" I ask.
"I don't know, I will figure it out. I'll go with my men to her hut immediately to investigate." My dad says.
"Thank you, I need to be there for her more than anything. Keep me updated." I say walking away and going back to my hut.
I hope she is not awake yet-

Y/n pov

I woke up with chills running down my spine, when I turned to see if Hiccup was in the room or in bed- he wasn't.
"Hiccup?" I ask nervously.
My heart starting beating faster, I kept telling myself not the panic or freak out. But thats the first thing I did, I was nervous to go outside the room or anything. I cried on the floor with tears flowing down so fast that my vision was blurry. The way I was breathing made it worse.
"Y/n?" Hiccup asks coming back inside and running to me on the floor.
"I cant catch my breath." I cry as he laid me on his lap.
"Just breathe in and out, I'm here." He says breathing in and out with me.
Everything went back to normal and I felt okay.
"I'm fine now." I say sitting up, that felt so shitty.
"Thank god." He says relieved.
Without saying anything I hugged him tightly.
"I'm sorry I left you alone." Hiccup sighs.
"It's okay, I just got anxious." I sigh.
"I'll never leave you alone again." He says.
I heard his voice crack from holding back tears,
"What's wrong?" I ask pulling away from the hug and cresting his cheek.
"I'm just worried about you getting hurt or being in danger because of me." He sniffles.
"All of this isn't your fault, don't think that it is." I say wiping his single tear.

We hugged again, it's comforting knowing that Hiccup cares so much. But after our talk we decided to go eat breakfast, as we walked there I couldn't help but feel eyes on me the whole time.
"Hiccup, why is everyone staring?" I whisper to him.
"I don't know." He says as if he has been wondering the same thing.
After eating with people watching, Hiccup and I went for a ride on Luna and Toothless. I was high in the air as Hiccup followed behind.
"Want to try what we've been practicing Luna?" I ask.
Luna nodded her head,
"What is it?" Hiccup asks.
"You'll see." I wink.
He chuckles and I prepare myself for it,
I began to use the saddle to guide her to do what I wanted but Luna kept refusing making her go at an angle, I slightly slid back but the harness keeping me connected to her kept me on her.
"Luna!" I yell.
"Y/n!" Hiccup yells coming towards us.
That's when I fell off her but the harness kept me connected to her,
I screamed, the harness isn't strong enough to hold me for long- and right now I don't know if Luna would catch me if I fell. I'm not wearing my flight suit either, I started to freak out and tried to pull myself up back onto her back. But Hiccup flew under me and cut the harness off me so I could get free from her.
"Are you okay?" Hiccup asks holding me.
"I'm fine, let's land." I say.
Toothless went to land on the ground and Luna followed with a guilty look on her face.

When we all landed I went straight to Luna,
"Luna, what's going on?" I ask.
"I think I know." Hiccup says wrapping an arm around me.
Luna sighed and Toothless comforted her,
"What is it?" I ask.
"Show her Luna." Hiccup smiles.
That's when Luna moved her wing and I saw her stomach-
"Your pregnant?" I smile.
"I just saw her stomach when I got you from below." Hiccup says.
"This is amazing!" I squeal.
"We're happy for the both of you." Hiccup says as we all hug.
Suddenly that's when Gobber comes out of nowhere, I didn't realize we had landed near the village.
"Hiccup, Y/n, they need you two to come to the meeting hall immediately- they've found something in your hut." Gobber says.
