Chapter XVIII

Hiccup's pov

Walking back to my hut I saw Y/n and that guy again, I hid so they wouldn't see me. Then I heared everything, she let him kiss her. I felt very disappointed, but when he left I stood in front of the hut door. So this is where she is staying, with Heather. My hand touched the door, I could knock, what's the point. It's not like I could tell her how I feel, or kiss her. Even a hug might be too werid. It was hard to turn around and continue to walk back to my hut, once I got to my hut I felt tears in my eyes. Ugh not again. What's the point of life if I don't get to make my own choices, like who I marry. I rather die than live this way. There was a sharp stone on my table, I use it for carving. Then I picked it up. The cold stone touched my wrist gently, I quickly moved the stone, and my blood oozed out slowly. It dripped on the floor, shit. But I instantly regretted doing it, what's the point. The cut is horizontal it won't harm me.

Y/n pov

The next morning I woke up to Heather, yet again,
"Y/n wake up!" She says shaking me.
"What?" I groan.
"Luna is gone!" She yells.
"What?!" I ask popping up awake immediately,
"She's not with my dragon!" She says.
I ran to the back with Heather right behind me and only see Heather's dragon,
"Did she not come back last night?" Heather asks.
"I don't know!" I say freaking out.
"Its okay she wouldn't run away, I'm sure there's an explanation." She sighs.
"Lets check the dragon academy, maybe she went their early." I say.
"Possibly, come on get on-" Heather says hopping on her dragon, I jumped on too and we flew to the academy.
Once we got there I saw everyone there hanging out,
"Hey guys, have you seen Luna?" I ask.
"Hey, sorry I haven't." Fishlegs says.
"Same here." Snotlout says.
"Sorry Y/n seems like nobody knows." Ruffnut shrugs.
"Wait she's right there." Tuffnut says gesturing to the main flying area.
Heather and I looked over and immediately saw Luna flying with Toothless!
"Luna is flying!" I squealed.
"Amazing." Heather says.
I ran over to them,
"Luna!" I yell up,
I see she looks down and sees me, then Toothless and her happily land next to me.
"Your all better." I smiled and hugged her.
She nodded her head and showed me her wing, a big scar. It'll fade over time.

I looked over to see where Heather went, and she was talking to Fishlegs. Hm I just let her talk to him,
"Wanna go for a ride?" I ask excited.
She nodded her head
"Toothless would you like to join?" I ask.
"Sorry I was planning on giving him a bath today." Hiccup smiles coming into of nowhere,
"Oh." I giggle.
"Next time." He says taking off Toothless saddle, I couldn't help but notice the cut on Hiccup's wrist. It looks like he did that on purpose.
"So how have you been- with everything?" I ask.
"Everything is good, how about you?" He asks.
"I'm fine I guess." I sigh.
"I miss you around my hut." He softly smiles.
"I miss staying with you too." I smile.
"Well go have fun with Luna, its our first time riding her." He smiles and hugs me.
I hugged back tightly. Eventually I won't be able to hug him anymore, I have to make the best with what I can have now.
"Bye, see you around." I say squeezing his hand then letting go.
I put a saddle on Luna,
Then I got on,
"Ready girl?" I ask.
She happily nodded her head then took of fast. Luna zoomed as fast as she could on top of the ocean,
Then Asher and Will came out of nowhere,
"Well good morning beauty." He smiles.
"Hey Asher." I giggle.
"I see Luna's wing is all better." He chuckles.
"Yup all good." I smile.
"I'll race you to the top of the tallest mountain." He says.
"Your on." I say instantly turning my direction towards the mountain,
"Cheater." Asher laughs catching up next to us, when we got closer to the mountain Luna's scales turned this bright blue, electricity started to form around her. What's happening? Without knowing Fang threw a fireball at us to slow us down, but Luna instantly flew threw it. Scared I squeezed her trusting her with what she was doing. Then immediately I see we're at the top of the hill.
"We were just at the bottom-" I say confused.
I looked down and see Asher coming closer,
"You can teleport!" I squealed.
Luna grinned at me and Asher finally got to us,
"How did you beat me?" He asks confused.
"Luna can teleport." I smile.
"I thought only night furys could do that." Asher says.
So toothless can as well, Hiccup never told me about that.
"I need to learn more about her." I say.
"There's classes you can take at the academy, you could have a class with me." He smiles.
"Yeah we'll see." I say.
"Want to get lunch?" He asks.
"Sure." I nodded my head.
"Great lets go." He says.
We were flying back and talking,
"So how old are you?" He asks.
"I turned eighteen not that long ago, you?" I ask.
"Im twenty one." He smiles.
Hiccup is about to be twenty one. Geez Y/n does everything remind you of him? I guess so.

Asher and I were eating, I was feeding Luna fish too. Then I remembered Asher kissed me, it did not feel right at all. I need to end it before it goes too far.
"So, I have a question." I say.
"Okay, what is it?" Asher asks.
"What do you think we are?" I ask.
"Well- I was hoping we could be more-" He says.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
Asher grabbed my hands across the table then gave me a smile,
"Y/n, since the moment I caught you at the market. I was instantly in love with your beauty-" He says.
Fuck fuck fuck fuck shit fuck-
"I know this is very quick, but I see something with you. Y/n will you be my girlfriend?" He smiles.
Holy shit, he just completely ruined my plan to end things. I thought about it for a second, Hiccup obviously will never be with me because of his commitment to the village. Screw it, I could be making the worse decision of my life right now but who cares. I have plenty of more decisions that are way worse, like running away from Pameaburg. This decision is nothing compared to that.
"Yes Asher I will be your girlfriend." I fake smile.
Asher jumped and came around the table to hug me,
"Yes your all mine." He whispers.
Luna and Fang joined in with the hug, my first boyfriend. Well technically I had a fiance before even a boyfriend. This is strange. I dont know what im doing anymore, first I run away then now im dating a guy I barely know.
