Chapter XXXII

Y/n pov

Hiccup and I just looked at each other worried, whatever they found in my hut wasn't a good thing. Luna and Toothless gave us a ride to the hall, where we we're guided by the Vikings to the chef in the meeting room. They had a bunch of the things on a table that had my blood on it, probably to try to find something. It looked like items from a murder scene. I sighed and Hiccup and I sat down sitting across from Chef and his wife.
"You called us, said it was urgent." Hiccup says.
"We found a note in your hut on your desk Y/n, we wanted you to be the first one to read it." Chef says placing it on the table.
I gulp, then nodded my head.
I grabbed the note and started to read the paper- Before I started reading Hiccup held my hand, it was comforting. Then I read-

Hans is just a letter away Y/n, stay away from my fiancé
                                    -Astrid <3

I gasped, fear filled my body. My hands started shaking as I held the paper- Hiccup took it from my hands and read it immediately.
"Astrid, I was right." He says madly.
"Astrid?" Chef asks.
"Yes." I say.
"My god-" Valka sighs.
"Let me see that." Chef says taking it from Hiccup.
"I need to speak with Hiccup privately, excuse us." I say pulling him out the room.
Hiccup was confused why I had pulled him out,
"Astrid is going to make sure Hans finds me, he's going to come and- and-" My voice started to crack holding in tears.
"I will not let that happen Y/n, I will protect you." Hiccup says grabbing my hands.
"I'm scared." I sigh.
"There's nothing to be scared of, I love you so much Y/n- I'm not letting you out my sight till Astrid is behind bars or dead." He says.
"But Hans-" Hiccup cut me off.
"As long as your with me, that man will never hurt you again." He says then pulls me in for a hug. He held me for a minute while I calmed down, suddenly I didn't feel worried anymore. But I have a horrible feeling about all this in my stomach,
"Now let's calm down and go back in there, to talk with my parents." Hiccup says holding my hand.
"Okay." I say.
He kisses my cheek then we go back inside-
Basically I had to confess to them about my past at Pameaburg, that was the last thing I wanted but I knew that information would be a secret only for the ears of close ones. After that it was dark outside, so Hiccup and I decided to just head back to his hut for the night.

Hours later..

I couldn't sleep, Hiccup's arm was around me tightly. I squeezed out of his grip then walked around his hut for a bit, eventually I found myself looking out the window for anyone passing by. But who would at this hour? Silly of me, I yawned feeling sleepy again. Then when I looked at the room with Hiccup fast asleep, and I looked back out the window-
Standing right there was Astrid, just standing there like if she owned the place. I gasped and grabbed a knife immediately- in the back of my head I wanted to yell to Hiccup and tell him she was there. But my heart held me back, my voice didn't come out my mouth- because of the threat she left me in the note. She could hurt him-

So I went outside, vulnerable- only with a knife in my hand. When I closed the door and turned facing her, for a moment we just glanced at each other.
"Astrid-" I say.
"Y/n." She smirks.
"What are you doing here?" I ask holding the knife in my hand tighter.
"Just came to talk, that's it." Astrid shrugs.
But two more people came from behind me, they kicked the knife out my hand and held me down to the ground. I was on my knees looking up at Astrid. Still I held high my confidence and didn't show her fear.
"Did you not get the message by cutting ur wrist in the same spot I did years ago?" She rolls her eyes.
I said nothing and looked down,
But one of the persons holding me down grabbed me by my hair and made me look up at her, it hurt-
"Or do I have to do this the hard way?" Astrid asks.
"How do you know Han?" I ask.
"Oh Hans and I go way back, I met him years go when my dad, who you killed by the way- took me to Pameaburg. He was there on a trip as well with his family, a queen and king. We wrote letters to each other our whole lives, telling each other everything." Astrid sighs.
Everything- that means me too.
"I told him about Hiccup and our marriage, Hans told me about his marriage to a women in Pameaburg named Y/n. Apparently you were the reason the tensions with both his land and Pameaburg would stop. Do you see where I'm going with this?" She asks.
I was processing all of this information-
"One day I see you in Berk once again! But that can't be, your supposed to be married to Hans- turns out, he wrote me a letter saying how his bride ran away." Astrid smriks grabbing the knife from the ground that I had brought out.

"Did you tell him I'm here?" I ask.
"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't." She shrugs.
"You don't know what a monster he is-"
Astrid cut me off,
"I don't care! I'm trying to see if your smart enough to leave Hiccup on your own so him and I can be together!" She yells.
"I love Hiccup, I will never leave him." I say seriously.
She sighed, then kicked me in my stomach. The people holding me down let go and I fell to the ground face first. Suddenly Astrids dragon came out the dark and they fled from the scene,   seconds later Hiccup came out the hut running to me.
"Y/n!" He yells picking me up.
"It was her." I gasp catching my breath.
"Astrid?" Hiccup asks.
"Yes, she's back." I cough.
