Chapter X

Y/n pov

That night was freezing, Berk is especially cold at night. I don't remember it being so cold, probably because I always shared a bed with Hiccup so it wasn't so bad. I could use the extra body heat, but I shyly didn't ask Hiccup to join me in bed. I think my paranoia got to me in my head. This dream made me feel more fear of him than ever. Hans was hitting me and pushing me into my dresser making a flower pot fall and break on the ground. Then he picked up a broken glass from the pot and held it on my neck. I squeezed my eyes with tears falling down my cheeks, I always prepared myself for whatever he was going to do. Even maybe kill me. It felt so real and awful. The grip of his rough fingers touched my cheek and wiped a tear aggressively. But I woke up popping out of bed shocked, I saw Hiccup turn from his chair immediately and look at me concerned,

"Y/n? Are you okay?" He asks standing up to check on me,
"Um yeah I'm okay, just a nightmare." I say catching my breath.
"Oh, about what?" He asks relieved.
"You know the usual." I fake smile.
"Let me guess, you still have nightmares about sharks." He giggles.
"Hey sharks are terrifying!" I say defending myself.
He laughed and sat back down on the edge of the bed,
"Well good morning sleepyhead." He smiles.
"Good morning drool face." I say stretching.
"How dare you make fun of my drooling." He giggles.
I laughed and I saw his drawing notebook on the desk,
"Drawing?" I ask.
"Yup, I drew two while you were asleep." He says.
"Wait how long have I been out?" I ask.
"I woke up early as usual, then you slept for another two hours." He giggles.
"I must still be used to my schedule in Pameaburg." I laugh.
"I'm surprised you wouldn't be up early." He says.
"At first I was since we would wake up early, but then I started to sleep in more and more since there was nothing to do around the castle." I sigh.
"Interesting, a huge castle and nothing to do." He says sarcastically.
"Well when your a kid and have no siblings or people to be with things get pretty boring." I giggle.
"Makes sense, but I got you breakfast. It's on the table downstairs." He says grabbing his notebook and pencil.
"Oh, thank you. You had a productive morning didn't ya." I slightly blush.
He laughed and I got out of bed then sat down and started eating the boiled eggs, Hiccup started drawing me eating.
"Hiccup I don't look nice right now." I say coving my face,
"That's the point bed head." He giggles and moves my hand.
"Why now?" I ask.
"The lighting is perfect, and don't act like I've never seen you at your worst." He laughs.

"Okay true." I playfully roll my eyes.
"Eat up because I'm going to take you to the dragon training academy today." He smiles.
"Oh yeah! I'm excited." I smile.
"Uh I must warm you though." He sighs.
"What?" I chuckle.
"My friends are- you may call them- crazy and unique." Hiccup giggles.
"They sound fun." I smile.
"They'll love you, I know you'll be great friends with them." He says.
Hiccup finished the drawing and we changed back into our clothing and Toothless flew us to the academy, we were all walking in together when all of a sudden these three guys and one girl run up to Hiccup catching him off guard.

"Hiccup!" They say having a group hug.
"Hey guys." Hiccup says with one of his cheeks squished from the hug.
I giggled and they greeted Toothless then they faced me,
"Who's this?" One of the guys asks.
"This is Y/n." Hiccup says standing next to me,
"Ohhh-" they all say like if they knew who I was instantly,
"Your famous around here you know." The girl smiles.
"Really?" I smile.
"Oh yeah this nerd talks about you so much." One of the guy says giving Hiccup a yuggie.
I laughed and they started to introduce themselves,
"I'm Ruffnut, and this is my brother Tuffnut." Ruffnut says tapping her brother,
"Nice to meet you." I smiled as they waved at me.
"I'm fishlegs, an honor to meet the Y/n." He jokes.
"Well it is an honor to meet one of Hiccup's friends." I laugh.
I faced the last guy,
"Hey cutie, I'm Snotlout." He smirks.
"Um hello." I say awkwardly, a strange way to introduce yourself to me.
"Bring it in! Y/n is our friend now!" Tuffnut says as they all hugged me tightly.
I looked at Hiccup and he was cracking up, and I stuck my tongue out at him as a joke. When they let go Gobber came out of nowhere,
"Y/n I see your not wasting any time to start training." He smiles.
"I'm very encouraged to learn." I giggle.
"Well be careful with these three, they're always in trouble." Gobber says giving them a glare.
"What?" Snotlout asks confused.
"He's still petty about last week." Fishlegs whispers not too quietly.
"We didn't mean for Toothless to burn your bum exposing your undies!" Ruffnut says trying not to laugh.
"Yes we did." Snotlout says busting out laughing and so did everyone.
"You demon children." Gobber says rolling his eyes.
"Are you an instructor Gobber?" I ask.
"Me? God no, I'm just here in case of emergencies to watch these freaks." Gobbler says gesturing at Fishlegs, Ruffnut, Snotlout, and Tuffnut.
"Freaks?" Tuffnut asks shocked,
"We are deeply offended." Snotlout says acting like his feelings were hurt.
"I don't care, well have fun Y/n and Hiccup." Gobber says walking away.
"Good one." Hiccup laughs.
"For shame!" Fishlegs yells as he walks away.

They all are really fun to be around, they made me smile. But then they started to talk about relationships and things we've done. It was kinda uncomfortable,
"Look im telling you a hickey is purple." Snotlout argues.
"Its pink!" Ruffnut yells.
"Hm well from personal experience its purple." Fishlegs says.
"Its definitely pink." Tuffnut says backing up his sister.
"I wouldn't know but I'm going to guess purple." Hiccup says shyly.
"Its a tie, what about you Y/n?" Snotlout asks wrapping his arm around me playfully.
"It's mostly purple." I shrug.
"Damn it!" Ruffnut yells.
"Who gave you a hickey?" Tuffnuf asks.
"Just some guy in Pameaburg." I kinda lie. Hans gave me some, I didn't enjoy it but I didn't want to make him mad,
Hiccup looked kinda surprised,
"Ouu who is this mysterious man?" Ruffnut asks.
"He's a nobody to me now, so it doesn't matter." I shrug.
"Hm good girl." Snotlout says with his arm still around me,
I felt uncomfortable still.
Then I thought about Hans and my dream, I rubbed my neck to stop the sensation of the glass on my throat.
"Enough blabbering, let's fly our dragons now!" Fishlegs yells.
"Hell yeah!" Tuffnut and Ruffnut say.
"Finally, you guys talk too much." Hiccup says joking.
"Its not our fault your quiet." Snotlout says taking his arm off me,
"We ready to fly?" Astrid says coming out of nowhere.
"Yes!" They all cheered.
