Chapter XXIX

Hiccup's pov

Once I got outside it was very awkward and tense,
"Morning dad- what's up?" I ask.
"Morning son- I just came to tell you I officially ended the marriage." He says awkwardly.
"Really?! Thanks dad." I smile trying to brush off the tension.
"But I must warn you, the Hoffersons did not have a good reaction. They show understanding but inside they are furious. I sense trouble, stay on your guard Hiccup. Astrid is trouble as well." He sighs.
"Honestly I don't care, all I care about is Y/n." I say.
"You must be aware son she's been in love with you since you were kids, of course she will not drop this marriage that easy." He sighs.
"Okay I get it, thanks for the warning I got everything under control. I'm going back inside with Y/n." I sigh.
"It's werid seeing you two kiss, it's like seeing my two kids making out-" My dad says making it awkward again.
"Dad! That's gross!" I whine.
"That was a werid way to describe it but you get my point." He says.
"I don't get it." I say.
"I practically raised you and Y/n she sees me as a father figure." He shrugs.
"Okay dad I'm leaving now, bye." I wave and go inside.
"Bye son-" Stoick says.

I walk into my hut and back to the room with Y/n, she's a quick cleaner,
"I just had the most awkward conversation with my dad ever." I laugh.
I watched Y/n fixing her beautiful hair in my mirror,
"What did he want?" She laughs.
"He warned me, Astrid's parents didn't react well to the marriage being cancelled. Then my father thinks Astrid will not drop it either." I sigh.
"What is it with this family?" She jokes.
"They're all maniacs." I laugh.
"All jokes aside, is your dad trying to say they'll break us apart?" Y/n asks.
"As long as we have eachother, nothing can separate us." I smile and grab both her hands.

Y/n pov

Hiccup had this reassuring tone in his voice, his smile is comforting. His touch is gentle, I believe him.
"Your so sweet Hiccup." I blush.
I throw my arms around him giving him a hug, his hands slide around me and squeeze me tightly.
"I love you." He whispers in my ear,
"And I love you Hiccup." I smile and whisper into his ear,
Then he gives me a long soft kiss,
"It feels so nice to express my feelings to you now." He smiles.
"It is amazing." I chuckle.
Then he rests his forehead on mine and kissed my nose, I giggled.
"I should probably go now, Heather must be wondering where I am." I sigh.
"Aww don't leave." He groans.
"I need to." I giggle.
"Ur right, want to go flying tonight?" He asks letting me go,
"Yes of course." I smile and stand up,
"I'm going to miss you." He says.
"I am too Hiccup, bye." I smile and started to walk out the room but he chased me,
"Wait!" He yells and turns me around pulling me close to him,
He gave me a long kiss,
"Okay now you can leave." He giggles.
"Your so cute." I laugh cresting his cheek.
He smiles then I leave his hut.

When I got to Heather's hut I saw Asher sitting in front of the door,
"Asher?" I ask coming closer.
"Y/n, hey-" He says standing up,
"I thought the other day was the last time I'd see you." I sigh.
"I'm leaving in a bit, but I wanted to see you one last time." He says rubbing his neck,
"Well I'll miss you." I say.
"I'm going to miss you too, I hope your happy with Hiccup. But if I ever come back I'll look for you." He smiles.
"Thanks Asher, I wish you the best at Pameaburg." I say.
We hugged and said our goodbyes then I went inside,
"Where the hell have you been young lady?" Heather asks coming into the room,
"Calm down mom I spent the night at Hiccup's hut." I giggle
"Oh I was a little worried when you didn't come home last night, especially after running off on me like that earlier-" She sighs.
"Well I think its time I have my own hut." I say.
"It'll be pretty lonely around here, but I'd say that would be best so you and Eva can live together alone." Heather smiles.
"I saw a hut I could move into when I was walking here." I say.
"Thats good, I'm glad I ran into you that one night, and how close we got over time." She chuckles.
"Im going to miss you, thank you for everything you've done for me." I smile and hug her tightly.
"Im going to miss you too, just don't move out then forget all about me." She jokes.
"How could I?" I laugh.

One week later...

Once I was determined to have my own hut I spoke to Stoick about buying it, and he offered me a deal to just pay with silver penningar which I did not have. Hiccup and I have been growing so much, our relationship just keeps getting stronger and stronger. As for Astrid, she's disappeared. Not one person knows where she is, I don't know if I should fear that. But I am completely capable of taking care of myself, the training at the academy has been so helpful. The money I brought from Pameaburg was called livre tournois. I needed to ask Stoick if this money will do so when I woke up in the morning Luna flew me to his hut,
When I got there I hopped off Luna then went inside to see Stoick being held down by some man,
"Y/n run!" Stoick yells.
But I stood there frozen,
"Just the girl I wanted to see-" The man says looking at me,
"Get off him!" I yell pulling out my sword.

He stood up and pushed Stoick to the wall making him go unconscious,
"Don't hurt him!" I yell trying to get to Stoick but he stood in the way,
"Y/n it's been a while since I've seen you." He says.
"Who are you?" I ask still keeping my sword pointing at him.
"I'm Astrid's father, and your the reason my daughter won't be married to Hiccup." He says taking his knife out on me,
"I will hurt you, get away from me!" I yell.
"Like you could fight me, princesses don't train-" He scoffs.
"I'm not a princess." I say.
"Right your by blood a viking but on the outside your just a weak princess with guards as her protection in a huge castle." He says.
His words made me so angry and I used my sword to swing at him, we started to fight.
"I'm surprised you even know how to hold a sword correctly." He says using his force from his sword on mine to push me back.
I caught myself and continued to fight-
