Y/n pov
The second trial had just ended, I sighed in relief yet my heart was still racing. I needed some comfort so I walked to my boyfriend, Hajime, but he was too busy talking to Chiaki to give me any attention...
Hajime and Chiaki had spent the whole investigation together and went to the beach before the trial. I put on a stoic face and my (h/c) ears drooped to the side of my head, I walked past Hajime and Chiaki with my tail waging gently.

"H-hey Y/--" I heard Hajime say but he was interupted by Chiaki going on about some game. I continued to walk alone to the restaurant, after the trial and Hajime frustrating me I needed to get my mind of things; so why not eat some tasty food. My tail wagged happily and I drooled thinking of the baked cod and smoked salmon, but before I could climb the stairs in the lobby, I felt to arms wrap around me from behind.

"(Y/n)..." I heard Hajime's voice, he hugged me tight from behind and placed his head in the crook of my neck.
"Oh...Hi Hajime..." I said monotonically.
"Why're you mad at me?"
"I don't know what you talking about..."
Hajime's arms tightened around me
"Please tell me, I'm worried..." He pet my ears, making me purr in response.
"I...hmm~ don't know what you're on about..."
"(Y/n)~~" Hajime whispered him my ear, stroking my tail.
"Haah!~, Fine... it's cause... you're spending more time with Chiaki than me..." I said, slightly embarrassed, a small pout on my face.
"That's it..?"
"What do you mean?! 'That's it'?!" One thing that I hate about being a Neko is that I get super territorial and jealous, like right now...

I freed myself from Hajime's grip and turned to face him.
"It may seem small to you! But you made me feel so sad, imagine being ignored by the person you love" I said pouting. Hajime's expression turned sad, tears pricked the sides of his eyes. He quickly grasped me into a hug and started to stroke my (h/c) ears.
"You're right... I'm so sorry (y/n). But trust me, you take priority over anyone else..." Hajime said as he gripped my shoulders and stared straight into my (e/c) orbs.

~Time skip to later that day~
3rd person pov
After Hajime settled (y/n) down, they laid down on the hotel couch. Hajime was sitting behind (y/n), hugging him from behind, lovingly. The two felt at ease with the comforting silence; silent except from the low yet sweet purrs from (y/n). (Y/n) yawned and held his tail between his legs, Hajime leaned into (y/n)'s ear
"I love you kitten..."
"I love you too Hajime..."

Btw my friend has this Headcannon Hajime would be really good at back hugs so yeah
