Ben knew Miranda Bailey was beautiful, smart, feisty, kind, funny. And several more good things.

She’s attractive, and he’s very lucky and proud to call Miranda his girl.

So, really, it was no surprise that someone else would see what he sees.

It happened like this.

Ben was looking for Miranda. It was lunch time, and she probably forgot to eat again. He knew, for sure, she had no surgery scheduled at the moment, but that just means she’s checking up on patients, or going on a consult, or maybe she’s down in the pit.

Anyway, he had a mission. He was bringing her some grilled cheese sandwiches and maybe he can feed her. Everyone and God knew that Miranda would never sit down and eat lunch in the cafeteria.

He headed over to the 4th floor nurses’ station, and there she was. She was faced in his direction, but she hadn’t seen him. He walked to her, and he could see her more clearly. She was smiling good-naturedly, and another doctor, a male doctor, was talking with her, his back on Ben’s direction.

Ben really wasn’t concerned. He trusted Miranda whole-heartedly, and all doctors in this hospital are scared of her, except for him.

But when he comes up to talk to her, and drag her away to eat, he unintentionally eavesdrops on their conversation. “Well, Dr. Bailey. Your reputation precedes you. You’re not that bad.”

Miranda scoffed. Luckily, they hadn’t sensed his presence yet. “I’d like to think I am my reputation. After all, I made it like that.”

Ben smiled. God, he loved this woman. He looked down to try and hide himself better as the man replied, “You’re feisty. I like that.”

The Anesthesiologist frowned. He decided to listen some more. “Good for you,” she replied. He snickered, quiet enough through the hustle and bustle of the people around them that they still didn’t notice him.

The man laughed, and Ben didn’t know if he was pissed at the man’s laugh because he almost snorted it out, or because it made Miranda smile softly. “You’re funny too. So. Can I take you out for dinner, or coffee, maybe?”

At that point, Ben didn’t even bother to see his girlfriend’s reaction, and a tug at his stomach made him clear his throat and make himself known. He walked between them, and pulled MIranda in for a passionate kiss.

She gasped and he took that chance to push his tongue inside her mouth. Their tongues collided and she moaned in the back of her throat. He felt her hands circle around his neck pulling him closer.

He knew she’d be mad; she hated public displays of affection, but he didn’t really care. Whoever this man was, he had to know he was with Miranda, and nothing was changing that.

They pulled away, breathless. She looked up at him confused, but her eyes were clouded in lust, enough to stop her from lashing out about the fact that he kissed her like that in front of the whole hospital.

The man cleared his throat.

Ben, who was still bitter and possessive, growled softly in the back of his throat. He wanted to say, ‘you’re still here?’ But he decided to play it cool.

He pulled Miranda close to his side, and she looked up at him, like he’d grown two heads. “Miranda, who’s this?”

She closed her eyes for a second and shook her head. Ben smirked inwardly. She was probably still thinking about the kiss. “Uh, Ben, this is, uh," she paused for a while, trying to get her thoughts in order. "This is Dr. Kaleb Williams, he’s a plastic surgeon at Seattle Pres. He’s visiting,” she paused, “Dr. Williams, this is Dr. Ben Warren, Anesthesiologist. He’s my boyfriend.”

Realization showed in Kaleb’s eyes as Ben reached out a hand for him to shake. “Nice to meet you, Dr. Warren.”

They shook hands, and Ben showed a fake smile. “Wish I could say the same.”

Kaleb pursed his lips, uncomfortable, and after a few seconds of tension-filled silence, he excused himself, before walking away.

Miranda frowned up at Ben and led him to an on-call room. Inside, he pushed her to the door and started to kiss her hungrily. “Mine,” he murmured.

She pulled away, gasping for breath. “Ben,” she chuckled as he attacked her neck with bites and kisses. “Are you jealous?”

He pulled away and stared at her. “No.”

Miranda laughed and kissed him again, “Well, maybe I should think about that coffee with Dr. Williams.”

Ben frowned and kept her trapped on the door. “Uh, no. Here’s your lunch. Have lunch with me.”

She laughed again. “You’re jealous~”

“No, I’m not.” Ben pouted.

Miranda kissed him, and pecked his lips once, twice, before putting her forehead against his. “I’m yours, Benjamin Warren. And be lucky that I love you, or else I’d be ripping you a new one for that stunt you pulled. In the middle of everyone.”

He just chuckled. “I am lucky that you love me. You could have anyone else, and yet, I’m the one who can do this,” he kissed her forehead, “and this,” he kissed her nose, and she giggled, “and this.” He kissed her lips slowly, yet passionately, drawing out a moan from her.

“And I can do a lot more,” he wiggled his eyebrows suggestively, and bit his lip.

“Is that so?” Miranda’s eyes darkened as he pulled her to the bed, pulling his shirt off.

“I don’t see you complaining.” He pulled her in for another kiss and started to kiss down her collarbone.

"You're mine, Miranda," he murmured, as he bit her neck.

"Yours, baby." His eyes darkened with lust as he lowered down her body to make sure she knew she was his.
