I woke up when I had noticed the car had been stopped. It took time but my eyes adjusted to the dark, and I was able to look around. It looked like we were at another motel, and Rory was gone, so I assumed he had gone to check us in. I looked in the rearview mirror; my hair was a mess! Do I move a lot when I sleep?

I combed my fingers through my hair and made it less messy, and then I decided to get out and stretch. My legs felt like rubber as I put weight on them, possibly because I had been cramped in a car for more than an hour. "Hey, Zylina, you're awake." Rory's voice said. I looked over and saw him coming from the manager's office with the keys. "Yeah, I thought you were going to be the one to wake me up." I answered, smirking. "I decide to let you have a few minutes of sleep." Rory responded, opening the back door so he could get his bags. I copied him and got my bags out of the car, and followed him to the room.

"Make sure there's no one in the room this time." I commented. Even though it was basically pitch-black out, I could tell Rory rolled his eyes at my statement as he was unlocking our door. Once inside, we both checked every inch of the room to make sure that no one was there, and once we knew it was secure we sat our bags down on the floor. "Okay, you want the bed on the right or the bed on the left?" Rory asked. "I guess the left one. It doesn't really matter." I responded, sitting on the bed I chose. "Yeah, you're right. I'm gonna use the restroom, while you get changed." Rory said, taking his toothpaste, tooth brush, and some clothes into the bathroom with him.

I quickly got changed into some blue, comfy sweatpants, and a black t-shirt. Rory came from the restroom dressed in some black sweatpants and a white top. He dumped his old clothes in his bag and he flopped down on the other bed. After I got my teeth brushed and got my hair straightened out I left the bathroom and got into bed. It was hard to sleep since I had taken a nap not even an hour ago. I looked over at Rory on the other bed; he was fast asleep, probably exhausted from all the driving. I sighed knowing I wouldn't be able to sleep for a while, and I turned on the small lamp on the side table next to me. I went to my bag and got the book I was reading earlier before sitting on my bed. I don't know how long I read, but it felt like hours before I got tired.

Finally, I saw that it was 1:00 in the morning and decided it was time to get some sleep. I put the book down, turned off the lamp, and slowly fell asleep.
