---Eda's Pov---

This is the second time that Luz calls me mom, while I don't hate it... it feels weird. I get that weird feeling out of my head and start to change, that when Lilith comes in.

"Edalyn, you are wake, good"

"What do you want Lilith?"

"Nothing, I just came to give you your new clothes"

"Oh no, I agree to this deal but that doesn't mean I will change clothing, I look way too good in red"

"Oh, come one Edalyn"

"No, I will not"

"Are your clothes even clean?"

I pause for a second remembering that I only packed enough for the trip, but currently didn't have any clean clothes on me.

"Fine!! Give the clothes"

"Here you go"

I look at them, fancy clothing, not my style. "At least they are red"

"Luz, choose them for you, in my opinion, they should have been more extravagant"

"Thank You, Luz"

I put the clothes on and walked out, as we were walking I passed the guards guardian the briefcase, I dismissed them and let them take a break. I grabbed the briefcase and headed downstairs with Lilith next to me. I look around to see if anything was broken, two weeks had passed after all and that means two new moons.

"Nothing is broken"

"Why would there be broken stuff?"

"You know, the new moon, Luz, the other vampires"

"Oh! Right, funny thing Luz is not affected by the new moon"

"What?"

"Yeah, we were all ready to keep them inside their coffin but no one show symptoms of been affected by the new moon"

"Wait, wait hold on, you are saying that Luz, a royal vampire who is known to be the more ruthless when it is the new moon, didn't get affected by it"

"Yeah and actually the vampires launch an attack that night, they were relying on the effect on the new moon that they use quite a bit of the newly transform vampires to attack"

"What happened? I didn't see any signs of battle"

"Luz, that what happens"

"Explain"

"I am sure Luz told you that she has a higher status than Scarlett"

"Yes, she told me"

"Well, because of that she has been influencing all other vampires"

"So the reason no one when ballistic was..."

"Because the influence of Luz was keeping them sane and not only that she affected the vampires who tried to attack. Any vampire who enters the radius of influence calm down and became sane"

"Is that why there are more vampires?"

"Yeah, we got a rescue a good amount"

We reached the kitchen and sat down on the table. "You do know what that means, right?"

"That by the end of this week, we are going to suffer, oh yeah"

"Why?" asked Aurora.

"Because it going to be a blood moon"

"So? The blood moon does nothing to us vampires" Scarlett responded.

"Normal vampires are affected by the new moon"
